i am interested in emailing a jw relative some info regarding the wts (false prophesies, doctrinal flip-flops, un involvement, child abuse lawsuits, etc.
but, i want to do this anonymously.
if one were to open a new email account with ...let's say...hotmail.com, and when registering, use bogus personal information.
If they can view email headers (which is entirely possible) they could look at the header and possibly see the originating IP Address (the one your computer uses) and compare to emails you sent from your account. Personally unless they are overly curious if it was from someone they know, I doubt they would go and do that. Just don't send it from work...more likely they will be able to figure out it's from you.

as many of you already know, my wife and i left the jws simply because we discovered it was not true.
we did not commit any sins, and we did not sow seeds of doubt in the congregation.
in fact, at the last meeting my wife attended, she still fully believed it was the truth.. .
you do know recording a phone call without both parties knowledge can lead to legal issues, right?

The conversation was a very strong encouragement to go to the sales indoctrinating meeting and show how much i loooove Jehover. And they wonder why I don't call or visit that often. Why can't they accept it's not something I want, desire or need and be at peace with having a relationship with the grandchild with what time we have together? I do not get it. Suppose it also answers why I always bring a buffer person who I go visit to avoid the religion....their lives revolve around it, but mine doesn't. Ugh.
i know that the wtbts generally dont give two hoots about the elders (this weeks wt describes the elders as imperfect , make mistakes etc while making no such admission for the fds) but it is interesting that the thrust of much of the recent changes is to reduce the elders workload.
notice three recent changes.
reduction from taking an hours book study every week to an occasional 30 minute study.
My grandfather was PO in his sales division congregation for long as I can remember. A few years ago he stepped down as PO to just an elder. His reason was he is getting old and tired of doing "all" the work that others should have been helping with. I think it's true for probably most of the US, the older elders are burning out and the FDS is realizing they will soon be having a Crisis in elderland.....
