  my husband decides not to decorate the house since my stupid sister asked the co of her congregation to call on us and he's been coming by on a casual basis.. well the co is in town so my husband says, "i'm not doing the house.

  I like mkr's idea. If I ever get called into a meeting my main goal is going to get them to laugh, and have something to tell their friends about, and perhaps some day we can laugh about it again together when they come to their senses too.

  i read in an old 1963 wt article that if one is living imorally....when they dedicated themselves to jehovah (privately/publicly)...that they will need to be "rebaptized" since jehovah may not have accepted the dedication...any chance i can ride this one?.....maybe get them to strip me of my title of a baptized jw allowing them to think i fully intend to be "rebaptized"...what do you guys think of this alternative to da/df?

  i was baptized in march2007.

  i heard that this article is not outdated and can still be valid.

  I doubt they would go along with it, but even if they did - the announcement would be "___ is no longer a Jehovah's Witness". To everyone in the congregation they won't have the distiction of DF, DA, or AB (annulled baptism). They would treat you like you were DF any way.

  I've thought about this myself. Since I was 16 at the time and should not have been old enough to enter a contract. I think mine should be annulled.

  If this is from the European Human Rights Court, then I would suspect that this is not limited to Bulgaria, but the entire EU. If not specifically now, then any new cases in other EU countries could easily use this as precident.

  new public edition of the WT

  ok i have about 4 friends who don't know that i am out of the org.

  because there is 3000 miles between us and the subject has not come up.. well one of them has emailed me a jpg copy of each page of the public edition of the wt.. i was feeling a little ornery, and i replied back.

  i said wow having a private copy and then a public copy of the wt makes me feel like a secret agent.

  Changeling - I've wondered this myself lately. Someone in another forum said "shit or get off the pot". Which I think is kind of demeaning towards the faders. Some people have it relatively easy if all their family is out. But when you have family still in, then some thinking has to be done.

  I don't know if some are uncaring and just want others to DA to do as much damage to the organization that they hate as possible.

  Or perhaps is just the "come on in, the water's fine" kind of reassuring invitation to those thinking of making the jump.

  my sister (a well-meaning, sweet drone) sent me this email and although i don't get a chance to post often, i thought that this was just too ridiculous to keep to myself.

  i don't have the heart to tell her that there are other people on the planet that have things they'd rather the medical community didn't do to save their lives.

  I recently had an operation and noticed a very similar paragraph in the forms just like stated in that "warning". Its was saying that this current document supercedes any previous medical directive. I thought it was interresting since it would have invalidated a blood card. Maybe not totally, but enough for a doctor to justify his actions in front of a judge.

  anyone here have a thyroid condition?

  ok, so i have this lump on the right side of my neck, bout half the size of a golf ball, though you really cant notice it unless i point it out.

  a year ago i had a biopsy,,(for cancer),gosh, if i knew ahead of time how they were going to do it , dont think i woulda shown up lol.

  anyway,,i think i have a thyroid conditionl,,,cold,,tired,,and found out daughter takes med for a thyroid condition.

  This can be tricky to diagnose. My wife just found out she has a thyroid problem. It took quite a while though. The initial blood tests came back with normal thyroid hormone levels. In her case - she had antibodies that were un-doing the work of the thyroid hormones. She's on medication now to sort it out.
