  Is this why the WTBTS is changing the "generation" meaning?

  during the 1970's, 80's and 90's i was always calculating how old the generation was that.

  saw 1914. at one time they had to be at the age of discernment 12 to 14 years old.

  and then it was just being born by 1914. well we all know that this watchtower teaching.

  Perhaps Toobad's on to something. They gotta keep some of these tricks in their pocket for rainy days. They can easily change the counting method - making people have more proof of being annointed besides munching some crackers.

  i, like many others perhaps, feel very very strongly against people stealing personal possessions.

  there is a very clear law against it for starters but even without the written law it's still a no no in most eyes.

  they belong to me so don't abuse and take them.. so anyways last month my car got stolen whilst i was visiting a friend at the local hospital.

  i really hesitated to post this because it's pretty personal but i'm so confused by a recent situation that i just wanna talk about it and get some feedback as to where i might have gone wrong, if anywhere.

  my mom and stepdad were dining at a local restaurant two or three months ago, and the server who waited on them happened to be a girl that i went to school with from kindergarten all the way thru high school.

  also, my mom had been friends with her mom.

  I know this doesn't help you - but the only thing that gave me the courage was the thought of my kids being put thru what I was put thru. I'm going to take the shunning for their sake.

  But you're luckly in one sense - you never got baptized. That means you won't be shunned (not hard-core anyway).

  The only problem you have is making it clear to your man that you're done, and see how he reacts. Sounds like you made your decision, now the ball's in his court.

  Doesn't really make sense though becuase JWs are usually the ones left holding down the fort at the office while all the "wordly" ™ ones are having their pegan celebrations.
