some days its so far in my past, i can hardly recall it.
this morning it was very close.
i can go along for months, sometimes years and not think about it.

The wtbs they want to control people. is run by men who are think at best latent misogynists. Hence thier feudal attitude toward them and then exclusively men counsel women on abuse!

this is my 16-year-old cat lily - the new kitten popped her in the eye and she got an infection.
she won't leave it alone so the vet sewed her eye shut with med inside, and put the cone on her so she can't take the stitches out by herself.
That looks nasty, Ihope she gets better

is it me or do the rest of you notice a tremendous increase in newbies in the last couple of months ?
what a cool thing to know that these dear new friends of ours have a place to turn to for help, venting, posting their feelings on life and what they have been through and are going through in regards to anything in life.

there seems to be very little in society that comes down to freedom of choice; by this i mean to be able to think and act in a manner that is completely without influence or manipulation from anything or anyone else.
it is true that a few individuals try to isolate themselves from society in different ways, but is their decision to do this influenced by experiences they may or may not be aware of?
we all like to believe that we have the option of deciding for ourselves what we want to do with our lives, but the odds are stacked heavily against this by the control mechanisms in our society.

I think we are all to a large extent the product of expereinces. I do think that the JW's are very controlling - they have to be because they know that alot of what they say is wrong. A guy we used to call on in the fs had a degree in Behavioural Pyschology and very clearly pointed it out to us how they exercise thier control. I did not agree with him then, but i now see what he meant I did not leave for about another 4 years.
I did though stay of my own free will - for far to long. It is amazing to me though how conned and stupid I was though

i'm really happy about that, ecstatic in fact, although i'd been a jw all my life, and i'm 37 now.
i could have disassociated like my friends, but i couldn't be bothered to play their chikdish game, so i let them do it for me.
ps listen to scully we do want pictures of two or three witnesses!

Welcome! I would love to have seen thier faces when they called at your door to state the obvious, but smoking as well in front of them!
I basically left 11 years ago. I look back wistfully and wonder what might have been to - no point but like most still do.

i knew a sister who avoided nail polish because a householder didn't like it.

Music.elders who listened to dolly parton (do you listen to or admire her) counselled me against rock classical and jazz - worldly you see. I do so miss the Kingdom melodies. I am know listening to more music than ever
Also education though I do not think that this is unusual we seem to have all done that
