  Why do most people not think?

  i have just had a long conversation with a dear friend, and we came to the same conclusion most people do not really think.. he is 75 and is fizzing with ideas, got a phd at 60. in fractals( no have little idea what they are).

  for instance it was and is blindingly obvious to me that the price of oil would drop, it has a little.

  the reasons are simple and i am prepared to discuuss that if you want.. i have observed in relationships recently, my own included, that we ignore the what is happening, and often to our, and our familie's long term benefit.

  i was talking to my 15y old daughter today about the divorce of her mum and me, and apologising for the trouble that may ensue, when she says without even looking up from her homework "dad we have not known for 5 years that you and mum had problems.

  us kids are far smarter than you think we are and we miss alot less than you think".

  i was speechless - for once.

  Lovers of Freedom and Womens Rights please Sign

  please sign this e petition at this newspapers website.. an afghan journalist has been sentenced to death for reading an article on womens rights.

  this is outrageaous imo.

  we in the western world take freedom of speech as a given, this brave journalist has been sentenced to death for questioning why the rights of women should be curtailed by bigoted men in his country.. i was so sad and upest that i am posting the link here http://www.independent.co.uk/ to the newpaper in the uk spearheading a campaign to put pressure on the afghan governmet to overturn this egregious judgement.

  At what age would you dicuss homosexuality with your children?

  on recent a thread a poster here discussed about having discovered his daughter was gay.

  whilst reading this my 11 year old son was looking over my shoulder, and reading along with me, some of the discussion was quite adult but respectful .

  so i began thinking what age would you discuss these things?

  welcome here.. i do not like u think that most people here are moaners, they are imo kind and genuine people here.

  i agree that most jw's are kind and decent people, (i am married to one and a have lovely jw daughter), that is not an issue.

  i have had a bad day and thought that i eould share it with you to either cheer you up - glad i am not him.. story - my in laws are moving to a flat/appartment, and they had a load of rubbish to be moved from there by today so that the workmen can finish tommorow.they (the in laws) can not do to much as they are quite infirm.

  guess who did - in one - me!

  i said to my jw wife as i ran to her the meeting would really appreciate a hand here, she indicated that she really could not as she must get to meeting.
