i noticed that in the "what does the bible teach" book, there is a picture that seems to reinforce negative stereotypes about certain races.. .
.
look at the picture closely.. the black girl is stealing, the latino men are portrayed as gangsters and only the white guy is having a smoke and a drink.. i showed this picture to an elder and asked whether or not he thought this picture was racist and he agreed that it was.. what are your thoughts?.
Hell to da muther F@*#% yeah. it show nuff is.

*ugh* i'm a need a puke bucket

well - i had been wanting to do this for a long time , to question a legal department representative at bethel about the child abuse settlements and jw child abuse, since last year when the news came out about it.
especially since my dad , an elder for years was never aware of it and has on his own taken steps to see that families with children are informed if a former pedophile is in their congregation.
i was curious as to what the current views and policies in place are .
Flipper, did i ever tell u that u are my hero! LUV U MAN

i left the organisation 5 years ago and this morning came across some old photographs from my jw days.
most photographs were taken in the kh, such as marriages, and at assemblies and many are of people once considered close friends - but now i find it hard to look at them.
i asked claire, my wife, if she would like to look at them and she said she couldn't bear to, so they went in the bin.
In the pic it says a lot about JW youth. it looks like they are a couple but they had to leave room for Jesus. also i looked at Valno Alto and the Negros and BEFORE i read the description i thought that they must of not been welcomed i.e. the staring.

lets see, this is what i got so far:.
played games on cell phone.
did my own personal research.
in the WT mags how about drawing in dialogue bubbles where the illustrations are and fill in what the ppl are saying/thinking. the crazier the better

I look at them as a part of my life that was then, and I look at my life as now.
the same thing here, my mom was introduced to this religion and i remember my unbelieving father would take pics of me and my sis in our KH dresses but never with any of the dubs. the same thing when the dubs would take pictures of me and my sis us and not my dad irony here... but i know they would be good memories though seeing how innocent we were. GOOD TIMES LOL!

it would be great wouldn't it?
if there was a room at the back of the hall that had a bar with a selection a fine handpulled ales & spirits.
the lights were lowered slightly, and some background tunes (not kingdom melodies) were playing, and there were some nice cosy chairs to lounge in.. after the meeting you could and have a few pints and have a laugh about how boring crap someones talk was.
LoL i could not help myself from laughing so much...but that would be cool thought everybody gettin' wasted by relieving/trying to relive the misery of going to the KH.
*Cheers*

we know that the a$$emblies have become more programmed every year.
they did away with food service.
they cut off the great outdoors.
The wardrobe at the JW Assembly Awards goes as follows:
Sisters must wear these hideous dresses at the awards ceremony so that they don't "tempt"the brothers....
Brothers are encouraged to wear Pimp suites and sip Kool-Aid out of the golden pimp cup to come up w/ways to keep everyone in step.. XOCO
you know when you are in a deep sleep and something happens that may put you on a different level of sleeping, not as deep.
anyway, then i thought, 90 minutes for lunch?
so, there is a group waiting to cross the street.
Well i'm still young i guess you can say that my first jolt is when i was 18 and gettin' ready to graduate (college-bound). i went to an elder after the meeting if he can give a recommendation for a scholarship that i wanted to apply for he looked at the form and told me to go back to the hall and we will discuss... i got the old ask 4 jah to give u all things necessary 2 survive...the end is drawing near...the ELDER himself lied in my face and told me he/and his wife does not have a college edu and are doing well w/o it...too much worldly association... not doing enough work 4 jah etc, etc. I wanted to tell him how dare u say these things 2 me i was hoping he would congratulate me on my higher edu stuff b/c in the 2005 WT it had approved to some degree to get something beyond HS. the Elder never said Congrats XOCO...and i invited him and his wife to my HS graduation ceremony... they never came... they never cared... as the second jots is by JWD and by reading and participating... I'm glad that i stumbled upon this site
