Hey JCannon. I hear you about the singing. When I was little we had that old green songbook and it had some really great singing songs, written as though it were for four parts. A brother would ask which song we should sing and we'd hold hands up to pick the one we liked best. The new songbook just left me cold. Then they sold some orchestrations on tape and I thought they were worse than a grade school band. They've improved these but most of these songs are written in keys that are not in the normal range of singing or just plain unsingable. Playing prerecorded music just makes the meetings more emotionally cold.

I'm with ex-nj-jw. Can't read it. Whenever anything becomes that wordy and convoluted there is a shell game going on.

Riding horses, singing, swimming in lakes, fishing, going outside in the AM and Mothers saying "be back b4 dark", we'd wander for miles and never got raped, kidnapped or even thought about it. Laying on the warm (car less) road with my dad looking up at the night sky looking for satillites (sp?). Bosko chocolate.

Looking for input from flight attendants . . .
by Happy Harvester inif you have been or are a flight attendant, i'd love to have some input about your experiences and ideas regarding it.. i've always thought i'd like to do this sort of work - due to the travel opportunities - and my service work experience.. .
so i'm going to take a shot at this - even though i'm probably too old and will probably have to wear makeup to work (yuck!).
any and all feedback from experienced flight attendants would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, been one for 32 years. They are hiring much older people now. A lot of retired folks and grannys. They don't care too much about the income because it is kind of a "hobby" job. Starting pay is lousey. Sitting reserve is lousey. Why hire older? Win win for the Co. No PG leaves, never will live to get to top of the pay scale, won't have to match 401K for long. The job can be really sucky but I am really glad to have been in the industry when I have been. Once you get some seniority you can really have a great life, lots of flexibility in working, great layover selection, great vacations (if there is an empty seat on the plane) and the comraderie is the BEST. Good luck!!!!!!!

If it were my kid I would confront the bastard. If he came clean (or possibly not) I would kick the crap out of him. Then push him down a hill and call the cops saying that during the confrontation he fell and got roughed up. I would let the courts deal with him and wait and see how the committee dealt with him (sort of a test) If they didn't do the right thing Invite them one by one to my favorite hill. If you don't take an extreme stand against them you are part of the crime. Saying ,"I repent and feel bad" will not stop them from doing it again. Forgiveness to that statement on the part of the untrained elders ensures it WILL happen again.

I think he answered that. The Elders have training that protects the society. Not the victims. Elder school (I think) is more about legal do's and don'ts to protect the society as a whole. Elders are not counselors, therapists, Dr;s, Psychiatrists, thay have no real training or background to address these issues. Mostly a bunch of janitors that now have a title.
