Personally, I do not see your views as an "attack" On the contrary, I find it SO interesting to read all those different beliefs and perspectives.
snowbird...

One Reason Why I Worship the God of the Bible
by snowbird inwhile this may be construed as a rebuttal to nvr's thread re: why i post about atheism, that is not my intent.. it is my intent, however, to show how i developed a belief in and love for the god of the bible.. my paternal grandfather, who died before i was born, was a baptist preacher, so you could say i cut my teeth on the bible.
i loved having it read to me, and once i learned how, reading it for myself.
i'm convinced that spirituality runs deep in my blood.. i've always had such a strong sense of right and wrong that injustices make me literally sick.

A@G...
You are correct. But putting JWs aside, when I read the Bible I believe that there is some sort of end coming. I don't see it in a scary or depressing way. Only in a way that God will have to do something in order for this planet to survive. And I see the flood story has a good example.
It has nothing to do with JWs. I simply believe that God knows the heart of each and everyone of us. Will I be a survivor? I have no idea:-) But until then, I try to live a good life. I believe in the same God that snowbird believes in. And it brings me much comfort.
My views may change with time. I don't know. But for now, those are the belief I carry on my journey:-)
Btw...I was just dropped by my study conductor yesterday. Perhaps it was my lucky day. And life goes on:-) -

Re: Flood.
People were warned and had over 40+ years to repent.
I daresay God was patient enough. I am not even that patient with my own children:-) -

ok, i'm done with the _____thing...but i took the option to participate in going to the kh with you.
i making an effort, but at times you turn away from my questions and you'd never do that to a "book study".

You reached out in a beautiful way.
Will your wife read and "absorb" your message? Only time will tell.
But a seed has been planted. And sometimes, that is all it takes...

Taking apart the Memorial
by jgnat ina new poster inspired me to take a look at the memorial talk and the way that the witnesses honor (dishonor) jesus' memory.
i had mentioned that the form is, from this christian's point of view, an abomination.
the participant is encouraged to look and not partake.

Why would Hidden Window need such information?
by White Dove inhw said to respond to his post only if you are an elder or ms. since i'm neither, i felt the need for a separate post to this unusual question by a relatively new member of jwd.
is his question out of bounds for a new poster?
it seems like a digging for facts so he can turn someone in type of question.

Hidden Window asked a very simple question.
Each and everyone on this forum is "free" to reply or not.

A Question For Christians..what would you do if........
by chrisjoel ingiven the chance, if we made contact with an extraterrestial life form that came to dwell among us for even a short period of time, would you preach the gospel of jesus to it with a view to possibly baptizing the "alien" into christianity?
.
-
*summer*
No. This "alien" would probably already belong to Scientology anyway:-)
