"Atheism is a non-prophet organization."
RIP George...your time among us was fun
this is a follow-up of my thread of june 18th.
my son, 30, inactive jw, divorced.
his girlfriend, non jw, much younger than him, really cute really sweet.
My son, 30, inactive jw, divorced.
That says it all. He can take care of himself:-)
Just make sure he knows you are there for him...no matter what~
e-mail going around jw land.. .
illustration about obedience given by a brother at a new kingdom hall in new england:.
'...do you realize that in the bible there are many instances of situations where jehovah's people were given directions that made no sense from a human standpoint and seemed totally illogical?
Will you quickly obey and trust the channel Jehovah is using?
Very disturbing...
i am not a jew, btw, but a judeao-christian (well, that's what i consider myself), and i hope i have not posted in the wrong forum, if indeed i am allowed.
i am the lay minister and postulate deacon of the arian catholic church in worcestershire, uk and the surrounding region.
i am also a lay oblate novice in the arian catholic order of saint benedict of nursia (acosb).
Also, why can't I do seperate lines, even though I have done them in the post box?
At the bottom of the post box, un-check the "HTML formatting" and check the "Automatic Cr/Lf instead.
decades ago, when my brother was a teenager and i a young 20 something year old full of the truth, he got disfellowshipped for inappropriate behavior with his 17-year old girlfriend.
he cried.
i remember it like it was yesterday.
This is a very moving post. It certainly shows much sensitivity, not to mention great integrity.
So, not that anybody cares
Well, it is not worth much in the balance, but I do care. I hate to see posters leave with hurt feelings. Perhaps you only need a breather. Or yes, perhaps you need to leave if the JWD energy has become toxic for you.
But whatever you choose, I wish you only the best~
will the election of a black man as president of the us help to diminish racism or will it sharpen the divide?
is race an issue where you live?
3 in 10 americans admit to race biassurvey shows age, too, may affect election viewsby jon cohen and jennifer agiestawashington post staff writers .
It does no one any good to deny that we are all racially biased.
Are we
i've gone to many a witness dinner where i would bring one or two nice wines, hoping we would have some with dinner.
{to numb the boring conversations} only, to find the couple say "thanks" put it in the cabnet....and serve up lemonade..... and it's not an alcohol thing....two different brothers brought out there own "home made" vino instead, which taste like a mixture of fruit punch and vineger!
.
I would say it is only in good taste, and good manners, to serve the wine received as a gift. I know I do.
The way I see it...if guests bring me a bottle of good wine, I want to share with them. And if they bring me a bottle of vinegar, well, I want to share as well
so lied to wife to go to apostafest meetup....hopped on bike..and btw...i stole her ipod...the little white 4gig one....loaded it up off an employees song list at work...not the best..but ok..tons of johnny cash....made it almost to charlotte on the interstate...rode 95 mph the whole way...do that a lot...not sure why...but was going for a new record to charlotte....and then...the hard rain began....shit.
i am pretty good in storm on a bike fortunately...slowed and followed a ups semi in the right lane...with our drought apparently everyone has forgotten to slow when it rains!
!...27 cars in 2 miles...several were pile ups...but funny...i was sooooo nearly killed or wonderfully maimed.
unusual in many ways...
...to say the least
this is a lighter topic.. how do you feel about your dogs on the bed?
forbid it?.
my boys are allowed on the bed all day but at night we say "down to the crate" the crate happens to be a very expensive leather couch with many pillows.. they listen to what ever we say, but the human bed seems to be the best place.. i change the sheets every other day.....can't stand the itchy, scrachties!.
I don't own a dog.
But I often "dogsit" my son's dog.
And yes, Oscar the weiner dog is allowed on the bed during the day and sleep with us at night:-)
sitting at home on a friday night - browsing through all the jw groups on facebook and this catches my eye.... we help support our full-time ministry with this website.
please have a look at the "watchtower" -style pins and pendants.
with a link to this website http://jeffreydesign.com/index.php?main_page=index&cpath=7 aside from the fact that it really ain't pretty, how pukeworthy is this??
Some would be willing to wear a watchtower symbol???
I don't understand the reasoning behind this!!!
And I was told to get rid of my wind chimes, and my lucky elephants collection, bla bla bla!!!
No, I definitely don't understand. This religion or cult or whatever is getting so confusing. Not that I am trying hard to understand anymore, mind you~
