Do any of you enjoy lighting incense? If so, what is your favourite scent? Which reminds me...I always light a stick of incense an hour or so before the "girls" show up for study. They always mention that my house smells so nice {I am part of the 'love bombing' right now, remember?} At some point, I mentioned that I burn incense every day. Well, sure enough!!! I was asked if I burn it only because I enjoy the fragrances or if it has any 'religious' connotation attached to it. I quietly replied..."I enjoy the scent." And thought..."I'll be damned if anyone ever tells me I have to stop burning incense!!!"

point of no return
by jacethespace ini want to thank the people involved in this site and the people on here in general as you have all been a great support for me.i think the internet has actually saved my life because i probably would have remained in the watchtower forever without having all this extra information to look into on here and the net in general.well i have now started to pass the point of no return mentally.through information and considering the way watchtower really works.also i have spoke to my mom about me leaving and how i feel and she has give me some support.i feel the watchtower had put a divide between me and my non witness family that has now started to return.its seems to me like the tower severs that parent/ emotional tie and takes its place.im feeling better in my self and although i dont have all the answers am looking foward to moving on for good.im starting to see that the watchtowers happiness is anything but.ive thought for quite a while in fact its anti life.
jacethespace.
ps , anyone want to act out the fall of babylon in a play but replace it with the watchtower headquarters [ thats my anger coming out now].

I hear you loud and clear, Jace...
I started studying myself almost one year ago now. Started with the 'at home' book study. Then added the Tuesday night group study. I was really on my way. Until I started digging on the Internet. Until I found this site. I now stand at the point where I still believe in God. I still believe in the Bible. But I still keep digging. One thing I know with certainty though...I don't want anything to do with a human organisation. JWs keep saying that no human government will ever bring everlasting peace. And not to put our trust in men. VoilĂ ! At least they have that right:-)

Hortensia. I send love and my thoughts out to you at this time of loss.
by Sparkplug ini saw this earlier.. i'm so sorry - it must be painful for two people who love each other to have to part this way - one goes through the door alone and the other stays behind alone.
all the more because my wonderful nephew was killed in an auto accident today, a young man with three children.
death is so cruel.. and in the wake of such terrible news today, i did not miss what you had said, but rather blocked it out for a moment.

i don't watch much tv as a rule. but last night, i was just coming back for a movie, and sat in front of the tv...mindlessly going through the channels...until i hit W-Five...wow! what a great documentary!
only too true that only outsiders can 'see' through a cult. and i could barely believe that people could be attracted by such a 'leader'...foul language and all. sad:-(
