i would say it would be the catholic cause you can do just about any dam thing you want.
and if you feel like you need to be close to god or something you can always go light some candles and wear a cross or put on a pointed hat or a white collar or deprive yourself of women or men in the case of nuns.
and you get to hear funny boys sing chants, and you also can put some real holly water on your head that the priest got from the sink oh and you can wear saint christopher's.

Oh, but that sounds like they just "tolerate" atheists. Not so. Atheists can join the church as full members, be church leaders -- hell, they ordain atheists.

i could pass with flying colors.
One time I had to take a drug screen in order to move from temp to permanent on a job. I learned that this company, like many others, drug-screens only during the hiring process because they get a big break on employees' insurance benefits. Their drug policy amounted to -- not "just say no," but "don't come to work high."
I believe you're most likely to be regularly tested if you're driving cars, operating heavy machinery, and other life-and-death stuff. It doesn't happen to clerical workers very often, I don't think.
Re those magical drinks that are supposed to enable you to pass drug screens, they don't work. www.erowid.org has valuable information on that subject.

I was a UU for 7 years, until I realized I needed much more glamor and weirdness in my spiritual life than they could supply. Rather than try to change the church, I went off adventuring.

i have been thinking about that lately.
the last thread i started, william penwell wrote an excellent poem, which i enjoyed tremendously.. i have been writing poetry since i was 8 years old....i also write songs.. so how many of you are poets/and or song writers?
have any of you published your works and if so....any help on finding a publisher?.
Me. I've had one poem published in Witch Eye, a Zine of Feri Uprising (it's a little pagan zine), and a sermon preached in an Episcopal church on another, unpublished poem.

It was always a mighty thin checkbook, mostly b/c of the complete lack of vocational education and "jehoover will provide" bull**** -- but never mind. We always had enough, or nearly enough.
Eventually my husband became pretty much disabled, so I fought my way into the work force and now am on the verge of landing my dream job. Now he has the better deal (materially anyhow), and after thirty years of supporting me and the kids, he deserves it!
Spiritually and emotionally, we're pretty much even, and we both deserve our happiness, so there.
Wish it was July. Then I could tag "happy anniversary" on the end of this

This one's brand new, coined by a workmate last week.
The doctor was extremely (but politely) angry over some sloppy work by a technician - just a real f*'d up job, particularly when she wanted to make a good impression on a doctor who sends us a lot of work.
My workmate noticed her mental state and described it as
"the height of pissed-ivity!"

i have.....got a set of gold-plated silverware for daughter and s-i-l (they already know, but don't know about individual gifts...heheheh)....jeans for my g/daughters and some karaoke cd's in the planning....don't know yet what i'll get for ol' crabby pants...(the ex that i'm watching over cause he's physically/mentally challenged from stroke)..... i like to get this shtuff outta the way early....can't stand that last minute hysteria...so..... how're yall doing with your plans for christmas?.

Have you called your darling boy on his hypocrisy yet? Honesty was all-important to me from my middle teens to the present day. It'll give him the brain-itch big time: "How can I expect Mom to quit if I'm still smoking?"
And another thing:
I have tryed to quite many times.All I can do is try again.
My boss, an M.D., says the single strongest predictor of quitting smoking is -- having tried to quit before. You will beat it eventually.
