feeling for the edges of apostasy
by inkling inno matter where at the end of this journey i actually end up spiritually andphilosophically, one thing i am sure is that family ties are worth fighting for.
i distinctly want to avoid being disfellowshiped for any reason, if at all possible.
and, (since i am not about to go on a hedonistic crime spree) my biggest riskof being disfellowshiped is on the grounds of "apostasy", i am assuming.

"Playing Chess is evil, not for Witnesses" -Awake 1973
by Witness 007 inawake 73 3/22 p.12 "....the spirit of competition between players can lead to unpleasant circumstances, as the new york times reported: most families manage to keep the conflicts that arise in games to the chess board.
but in some homes tensions linger long past checkmate.
chess has been a game of war since it was originated 1,400 years ago....the games connections with war are obvious...a play-substitute for the art of war.

My Bethel Experience Part 9
by new boy inthe the worst thing, someone could call you at bethel, was a "jack".............. as in " that guy is a real jack, he doesn't work at all".
the other term not used very much anymore, was "pot licker" used basically the same way.there has been some bad things done at bethel.
you name it, someone has done it...........but the absolute worst possible thing, a bethelite could do is be a theft!

guilt is their main weapon.
if you feel guilty over something no one might ever know about, the watchtower society has seen to it that even whatever you might have thought of or done in secret will be revealed.......were you ever guilty of a secret sin??
