Huge development concerning Watchtower.org and "apostate" comments.
by DT inwouldn't you love to comment on the watchtower.org site so that other visitors can see what you think about their doctrinal flip flops, false prophecies and dangerous medical practices?.
it's no surprise that watchtower.org doesn't allow comments.
they know that "apostates" would point out the embarrassing details about their religion and history.

Jacksons birthday burial may make things harder on his children
by Dogpatch injacksons birthday burial a family issue.
michael jacksons aug. 29 burial points to a power shift within the jackson family that could ultimately affect jacksons three children.. up until recently, michaels mother katherine was making the major family decisions, but the decision to schedule the burial for jacksons birthday was largely joe jacksons.. katherine didnt want it (the burial) on his birthday, neither did rebbie (jacksons oldest sister), said a close family friend.
both katherine and rebbie jackson are jehovah's witnesses, and do not celebrate birthdays, but the religious reason isn't their only objection.. (katherine and rebbie jackson feared) it would turn the burial into a spectacle that will be hard for the kids to not be swept up in," the friend said.

That royally sucks for those kids. They're going to be torn between two worlds for the next few years. Did Michael plan for this? Did he ever warn his children about JW's?

1. No more suits or ties.
2. More songs about Jesus.
3. No more magazines, just the Bible.
4. Accept other Christian religions and not try to be the only exclusive channel to God.

Wow, great article. I love to read these old articles because it shows that things were not well with the WT after 1975. If anything, this would be great to show to a JW who has never really thought about 1975 or knows nothing about it.

So what's wrong with being a "Cult"?
by The Berean ini looked up the definition of "cult" on dictionary.com.
definition #1 read as follows "a particular system of religious worship, esp.with reference to its rites and cerimonies.
" that soundeed vanilla enough .... scrolling down to #2, i saw "an instance of great veneration of a person, ideal or thing, esp.

My father left my mother with a broken hip for over 12 hours before calling me to tell me "there's something wrong with your mother". After he told me what happened I immediately told him to call 911. He was humming and hawing. I asked him did he want me to call. I told him straight off "Dad, something is major league wrong here. She's broken something. She's gone into shock." He was worried about how the ambulance attendants would be able to get into the house (it was a bit muddly outside).
As sad as this is, I can relate to this experience. Something like this happened to some people I know. The wife slips and falls in a fast-food restaurant. What do they do? Fill out an "accident report" and then the husband DOESN'T take her to the hospital to see if anything is wrong with her, despite the fact that she is in pain and complaining. Idiots.

isaacaustin's claim regarding "the Creator's promise"
by Spike Tassel inisaacaustin: spike, you said jehovah defines false prophets...the reasoning book is man's writing.. i am well aware of the reasoning books weak attempt to deny their being a false prophets....such as 'never did they say these are the words of jehovah".
guess what?
they did say that, in calling their 1914 generation prophecy 'the creator's promise".

Spike, the Watchtower has spoken in God's name and that they are God's sole channel of communication. If God didn't make the promise of the generation of 1914 not all passing away before the end came, then why didn't He stop them? Why did He allow them to publish this false prophecy decade after decade? Do you think Jesus would have stood for this, if his apostles were out proclaiming dates for when Jerusalem was going to be destroyed and they kept getting the date wrong?

If you would like to be told by other people that unless you talk/behave/act/do as you're supposed to orGod will smite you, then go right ahead and join one of the many cults around the world.
I prefer my freedom.

This Bible passage has always bothered me.......
by palmtree67 inthis is one of 2 bible passages that have always bothered me.. its from judges 19: (the entire chapter, so i will paraphrase.).
a levite marries himself a concubine.
she's unfaithful and goes back home.

Am I missing something here? After the Levite chopped up his concubine, he stated in Chap. 20 verse 5 that the homosexuals were trying to kill him. But Chap. 19 verse 22 says that they just wanted to "have sex with him". Soo... didn't he LIE??

He probably won't answer. How do you tone down a false prophecy like that?

Remember Jehovah in the Days of Your Youth REDUX
by Farkel in"remember jehovah in the days of your youth".
this was a list of my experiences as a young dub that i penned about a dozen years ago.. it was based on the theme in the watchtower article referenced below that i remember reading all that many years ago.. *** w71 6/15 367 remembering your creator in the days of your young manhood ***.
12:1.. the sole purpose of the article was to convince young people to dedicate their younger years to preaching for the watchtower bible and tract society and practicing their policies and doctrines at all times.. many people who become jws as adults, and later leave, have at least some "normal" remembrances of a "traditional" childhood.

Thanks for bringing up these bad memories. I hated standing or sitting through the flag salute/national anthem. All the other kids always looked at me weird.
I'm glad I'm out, and like hell if I'm going to put my kid through this. I will never allow him to go through what we went through as kids.
