i've had something happen to me at work and i just need some opinions .... i work at a store where i am the only female employee.
we were short handed these past two weeks because someone quit and the new guy doesn't start until monday so they got a guy from another store to come fill in.
i hardly know this guy except for him talking to me about business related things.
I'm awfully interested to know waht your husband said about this Renee. If someone talked like that to my wife...well I think it is needless to say that things would get very physical very fast. That kind of behavior is just good old fashioned ungentlemanly behavior, not an example of PC run amuck. IMO

i was given a catalog by schwan's delivery men that came into the salon i was at yesterday.
my husband wants me to try them out, to help save time since i'm invovled in so many different projects at this time.

yesterday as i was getting ready to go out i noticed from my bedroom window two women dressed in witness garb heading toward my house i didn't recognize them so when i answered the door they asked me if i was spanish speaking i said no and they then asked me if i knew of anyone the the neighborhood that was and i said no they thanked me and went off to the next door (doing the pioneer shuffle) to ask the same question.
so this must have taken up a whole morning.
my wife and i thought they could have spent their time so much more affectivly sitting in a coffee shop and saying olaaaa to each customer that came in and when one answered back they could have spewed their bs on them in spanish..
My MIL and SIL are Spanish speaking pioneers but since we live in Texas, they have plenty of people to talk to. One thing I have noticed about their Spanish cong. is how much nicer people are there, as compared to the English half of their hall. It seems to be a cultural thing, but if I ever DA/DF we'll see how their culture stands up to the rantings of the "Farting and Disemboweled Slave".

i'm interested in a new position within my company and if i get it i will be based out of austin tx.
i'd still get to keep my current residence but will be required to fly to austin on a regular basis.. i'm excited about the job but not sure about the city.. anything good/interesting there for a possible future frequent visitor to enjoy?.
