Elder asks me why we quit... (Long)

i didn't realize i had never posted the story, so here it is.. last summer (when i went to buy my new camera lens) i ran into one of my favorite jws at the photography shop.
he was buying a camera bag for his new dslr, and i saw him, went up and greeted him, hugged him.

I thought it was pretty good. Very short, no exposition - just a one-shot emotional bullet that points out a level of hypocrisy. It will be less hypocritical if they ever start saying, "And watch out for the weirdos that are IN the Hall, too!"

Do you still have faith in humanity?
by lfcviking injust yesterday at the airport i dropped my wallet coming out of a shop and a very kind man picked it up and ran up to me and asked "excuse me is this yours?
" to which i gave a startled but relieved reply of "yes, thankyou very much!"..
i was amazed by his honesty & kindness for doing this deed and wondered for a moment what would have happened if he'd have put it in his pocket instead.

I don't know Sydlik, etc. - although there were other GB members that seem pretty likely to have been gay - but about:
I knew Dan Sydlik. He had a beautiful wife and was happily married. Additionally, he was one of the more decent members of the GB. It would take an awful lot to convince me that he was gay.
You don't have to be gay to be curious; you don't have to be gay to "walk on the wild side". Not to hijack the thread, but I've known enough straight men that would engage in non-straight activities for various reasons. Personally, I would hope Sydlik was not involved - I have heard much second hand about his being a fairly decent human deaing.

Hi Mincan: I feel for you, and hope the end has come and gone.
Wellbutrin made me climb the walls. Within a week I was feeling paranoid and in a panic.
Remoran was the easiest on my system, but made me pretty sleepy. Many of the others either spaced me out or just ripped up my guts.
But once thngs were pretty balanced, they helped me focus for the last 3 years of therapy. I'm off everything now and in pretty good shape.
And...you can't really "do" therapy wrong...

it presents the policies through the jw filter that ignores its pathetic inneficiency and reality.
the article's tone is that of "look how good we are compared with other religions.
