thanks for your advice so far people , morbid you hit the nail right on the head with your description of aspergers , and that is my brother all over ! hates change to his routines , either dosnt talk to some in the family at all (thats me !) or phones my mum every day going over and over the same subject (at the moment that is an issue with the police , after he was arrested after someone accused him of stalking her ! it was all sorted out but it has been reported about his "odd" behavior before , as he tends to stare at people without realising or not look them in the eye at all ) he has talked of suicide before as he feels so different and asks my mum why people think hes odd but she wont tell him as she thinks he will be "tipped over the edge " ive done so much research and also i work with people with autism so i know what he has and have thought of lending him a book by a guy with aspergers in the hope he will self diagnose .

did you actually believe man had only been around for 6000 years when you were a jw ?
by looloo inwhen i was a study i had a real problem with that one and dinasours and the fact that skeletons of early man were found indicating man had in actual fact been around for millions of years !
we copuld not argue with that evidence , so how did we manage to convince ourselves that the rest of jws beliefs were true ?.

Watchtower stance in Australia - a few thoughts to ponder
by James_Slash in"we don't typically work with children....so [any mandatory child protection] law doesn't apply to us" - watchtower spokesman.. if this is the case, then how have so many children been abused?.
also, in james 1:27 it instructs 'elders' to "look after orphans and widows" - how can they do this when they "do not specifically work with children"?.
thoughts anyone?.

'cause they hate jehovah, etc, etc.

pika chu , have you ever seen the sisters of magdeline a true story set in ireland , i watched it last week and found it shocking how much the catholic church had such control over people and the evil nuns were capable of to young girls who were unwed mothers / fallen women etc .. i would recomend watching that to a jw and ask them to see the irony if they make a comment .

i saw jehovah witnesses today and actually had a panic attack !!
by looloo ini saw them in the distance going door to door , (about 6 of them plus child in pushchair ) i knew i had to walk past them but started panicking !
i was thinking please dont speak to me or i will explain why im not interested in your religion , i left my town to get away from them !
due to my daughters sexual abuse by a ex min servant who had abused others in the congregation also but had never been reported !

thaks everyone for making me realise its normal to feel like this , im actually ok now as the court case was 2007 and i have very recently reached the stage of acceptence of the repercussions of the abuse , which i dont feel able to share , having gone through the anger and depression stages . im actually content with my life now and try to be grateful for all our blessings rather than dwell on past events that devastated my eldest child and myself (perp was my best friends husband and his wife stood by him and i used to see her out on the ministry and it so pissed me off ) so when i see jehovahs witnesses it all comes back to me .

Good talk with mum and dad
by boyzone inshe's 77 and both mum and dad have been witnesses for nearly 30 years.
they've been pretty hardline in their time but just recently things have changed.
today, to my joy, mum wanted to celebrate her birthday so i bought her a big bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates (yeah i know, not very imaginative) and intend to take them out to lunch tomorrow when i've got more time.

Elder arrested for stalking
by iceguy ini just read in the police blog that an elder that went to my former cong was arrested for stalking.
i knew his family well and he is married to my cousin.
this elder and his wife had recently shunned me at the grocery store.

repentance is often not enough...
by oompa inyou may know i was recently dfd...i am a 4th gen...my two sons of course were 5th gen. the oldest a rebel from birth so of course dfd at 17 and he is now 24. my younger son now 22 has been the golden boy for the dubs.
pioneered out of hs for 4 years...was a miniserve all that time...and then the holy grail...a year at bethel...i mean the perfect dub!.
well shocker of shocks...he was dfd three weeks ago!!!

i knew a pioneer girl who had been in a "relatioship " for years with a much older married man (the elders knew he had abused a young girl who was underage in the cong before but reproved him !!!) the elders wanted to forgive her due to her genuine repentence , however the co overruled the decision because of the deceipt involved and 3 years it had gone on for ! she was disfellowshipped and so was he ! t hey eventually went on to be friends with me and he raped my daughter age 13 ! 15 years later she is a jw again but he is still out but "believes " and they have kids and he served a 3 year sentence for abusing girls in the cong years earlier before his disfellowshipping
