Thank you for the comments. I would like to see it made into a video or see a video with a similar message. I don't know how to make videos, so I would be happy if someone else wanted to do that. I checked Slideshare and it's already at number three for the most viewed slideshows of the day. I like the way you can have clickable links on slideshows. I'll try to get more up on that site before the JW's find it.

Is this a new change with the do not call list?
by DT inthere are a few threads going about getting the witnesses to stop coming to their door.
i was curious, so i called the headquarters to ask about the best way to get on their do not call list.
they said to just ask them to put you on their do not call list.

I believe we need a simple message to get the public on our side. They are already irritated about Witnesses knocking on their doors, so letting them know about the do not call list may be effective. If we can tie it in with JW scandals, that's even better.

since the un & pedophile issues haven't even been heard of by the witnesses in south africa i am going to get a pamphlet drawn up about these two issues and i'm going from door to door (well actually post box to post box) and slip them in all the homes in my area - i've inlisted my mum.
(my mum makes me laugh - she asks if we are going to wear latex gloves - bless her).

That's great. It doesn't take much to raise awareness. I personally think that informing the public may be more productive than trying to educate the witnesses. The public will let the Witnesses know what is going on if they know about it. I would just recommend that you check the local laws about delivering to post boxes. I know it's illegal in the United States.

Family shunning

I thought it might be helpful to try to inform the public that they can get on it. I think it might be one piece of JW trivia that can really capture the public's interest. I welcome your comments and will probably put up more slideshows in the future.

Police 1 Witnesses 0
by cluless inabout a month ago i phoned the local police that every saturday a couple of religiouse people were knocking on doors in the local area.
i explained i was concerned that there message was most unpleasant and comprised of either we converted to there religon or god would kill us and our families.
i gave the police the name and telephone number of one of the witnesses.

Yep, that's their message. I think citizens have a right to be concerned about this.
I've never heard of JWs speeking like this ("either we converted to there religion or God would kill us and our families") in a normal door to door visit. Have you?
I have heard this said on the first visit. Usually, it has been a response to householder questions. Some Jehovah's Witnesses are crazy and don't understand tact. Shortly before I DA'd, I heard an older publisher bragging about how he called somebody a "deceiver" because he believed in the trinity.
It's my opinion that since their message is that nonJWs will be destroyed, it doesn't matter much how or when they say it. It's actually misleading to hide their message until the mind control starts.
