Since i have been out i have bumped into witnesses at the supermarket where i work, as you do. They see me and look down or look right through me. Some have the balls to say "Hi" and "Hang in". Others have bigger kahunas and actually talk to me - this doesn't go unappreciated by me. These ones are using more of their own minds on the situation.

One line i nearly always get is " You do know it's the Truth though don't ya!"

Well, no. I KNOW it is not the"Truth". I don't think there is a "True" religion out there.

The Truth doesn't change. The WTS does, when it suits them.

You guys already know this, but just wanted to get it off my chest.

could someone please tell me what do jehovahs witnesses think of disabled people?.

someone told me they have a attitude like "if it isnt perfect then god does,nt love it".

could someone please tell me if that is true?.

We had a few disabled people in our Cong. Honestly, they were treated very well and with respect. I do think this one (as was mentioned) falls on the individual. Some people look down on them, others put in some effort.

As for the "Spiritual Disabled" - I think Blindess is the most common.

Help reform the crumbling tower with your bright ideas

lets say that the watchtower approached you to help them be more successful, so that more people join and be happier jw's.. what would you suggest?.

many while jws, (myself included) were not aware that the organization teaches that jesus is the mediator for the 144,000 only!

i was so shocked to learn this, and i thought i would post this for all the newbies and lurkers.

Would you go to the Memorial?

since i was raised as a jw i have never missed the memorial.. now since i have been df'd i"m not sure whether i will go or not.

my wife is still a jw.

should i go for her sake or not?.

Your opinions are appreciated.

I like the point that it would give false hope to my wife and others in the cong.

Also i do not want to be part of their bragging about numbers - numbers are very important to them ( More than People ).

Plus, every year it is the same outline for the talk, about why " most of us in this hall won't partake etc". Doesn't help my self esteem any. Then as was pointed out, the great info-mercial about attending regularly with "Jehovah's People".

I respect my wife's rights to freedom of worship - however knowing what i know now ( Tongue twister), it's not for me. I think i will come away feeling like a second rate citizen. No can't do it.

As for covering up child abuse. ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!
