Yes. Remove the DF and DA policy and see what happens! Emotional blackmail is a very powerful tool used skillfully by this org.
I know of many "brothers" who would get out if it didn't mean losing their friends and family. Instead they stay in and deal with depression and other disorders.

Last night we agreed that we cannot live together anymore. I will be moving out as soon as i find a place.
Living with/next to the inlaws was a BIG mistake! Now that i am DF'd i find it literally impossable to carry on a normal life.
Oh well, i know alot of you have had to walk away with nothing and start again. I'll do the same thing.
Do the JW's break up familys? They certainly do.

We were both raised as witnesses, and we met at my best mate's wedding.
She was the one who did the floral arrangements for this wedding. Pinned a Rose on my Jacket.....
We were both very different people back then.
I never thought i would be on the outside looking in - as regards the witnesses.

there are so many reasons why i like being a jehovahs's witness.. 1. we get to count time when we share our faith with nonbelievers or our young children.. 2. we don't have to go to college to get a good job as a janitor or a window washer.. 3. we get to celebrate the birth of a child but not the anniversary of the birth.. 4. we don't pass a collection plate at our meetings and we get to put in our wills that when.
we die that our house, cd's, jewelery, life insurance, and cash can go the the watchtower society.
so that our family doesn't have to worry about those things.. 5. we don't have to be with our families during the holidays to enjoy each other company and eat the.

I really miss those wonderful kingdom melodies. You know..... The ones that have violins, trumpets, pianos and other instruments that really give a nice 19th century feeling.

Left it like that, and when we were in the car she started to cry.
Now she has taken my son for his Bible study at an elder's place. She looks at me like i am a stranger - i guess i have changed alot.
I hate upsetting her, but if she asks me, i feel obliged to tell her the truth behind the WTS.
Anyway, a marriage of 12yrs is well and trully on the rocks. Religion is the main ingredient.

the story was kept hushed up, much as in any 'abuse' case that goes on in the wt world but, jws don't like anything to make the wt society look bad.. one jw woman out on 'the misery', reversed into and dragged down the street another jw woman who then broke both arms, ribs, pelvis etc.
infact, she is lucky to still be alive.
this horror was not announced at any kh in the country and kept quiet.
They should do us all a favour and run over each other.
