i've been thinking about this for a while, so was surprised to see another poster start a thread about narcissism just when i was going to do so.
however, his thread isn't really the same as what i had in mind.
i was thinking about the jw belief that jehovah, jesus, all the angels, satan and all the demons and the entire world are watching their entire lives, every single move.
They love to pat themselves on the backfor a job well done. This was one of the things that p#ssed me off at conventions - the Sunday Arvo "Let's build up our ego's" discourse. If you believed it, you would think they were the only nice people on the earth!
Well, now i know they are special...................almost feel sorry for'em.

recently sent a msg to several entities about the nbc article on jdub's spending monies to quiet those who have been molested, ( this makes me very sad) and one responded not much at all, and one has cut me and my family off from them and their family, they can't handle the truth about some in the cult to my thinking.
this has made my spouse very sad, as my spouse likes them very very much!.
my spouse would be very mad at me for sending them the article which just shows you how much my spouse is controlled by the fds, and not common sense.

I was in a cong. down in N.S.W when i was young. There was a family - Husband and wife, two twin boys 5yrs old. The father who was an MS at the time, frequently molested his sons. His wife dobbed him into the elders - who did disfellowship him.( Should have cut his balls off )
The marriage broke up ( no surprise there). Years down the track to present time, i heard he is travelling around Australia trying different congs so he can be reinstated. So far when the elders hear what he had done, they won't let him come back. I hope they keep this predator away from kids for good.

i guess it's about time i write my story.
i've put this off for a long time... primarily becuase, while i thought my story was bad, i've read so many worse and heart-rending stories here.
i think, though, there is some therapeutic value in 'letting it all out' with others who know what 'it' was like.

i must say the more and more i learn and find my way around my spirituallity the less i use the name jehovah.
it just reminds me of everything i went through, reminds me of the ""bad"" and not the good of god.
it reminds me of hypocracy and mind control.

My Mum was/is "Jehovah this and Jehovah that...."
When i became a teenager, i remember snapping at her. I just couldn't put up with it constantly in my ear.
I got baptised at 16, to save my sanity.( She kept niggling at me everyday )
Anyway, she's 74 now and i love her. I live in another state though.
Waffling................ Yes i do have a problem with it. I prefer "The Creator", ...... for now.
