no e-watchman runs the e-watchman site. the site you listed on this thread is suposse to expose ewatchman. its run by thirdwitness who used to be an e-watchman follower and now i guess you can say is a reformed apostate. they are all crazy, and they are all apostates according to the WTS. i feel sorry for them, what a waste of a life. its one thing to get tricked into the wts, its another to spend your waking hours writing pro-jw websites when the wts views you as an enemy.

How to Debate an Evolutionist (if you must)
by hooberus inthis thread is primarily directed to biblical creationists and other non-evolutionists here (as such no or limited responses will be given to evolutionist posts here).
please if you are a non-evolutionist attempt to refrain from debating evolutionists here on this thread, as they will likely try to derail any learning, or exposure of their tactics.
i will try to avoid debating here but instead posting information in a series of posts.. i consider myself to be an informed biblical creationist and probably one of more experienced creation/evolution issue debaters to have been on this forum.

I have tried to be an atheist

i have most of dawkins books and many others.
i completely agree there has to be some evolution and obviously the fossil record in the grand canyon plus erosion shows it must be at least 600 million years old.

you cant prove or disprove God with science. i find atheists are similar to alot of Christians. they are both arguing over science and creation proving or not proving God. i respect the atheists that simply say that for themselves personally they require empirical evidence. however where some lose me is when i am not allowed to disagree with their personal belief, or am told that if science cant prove God, he doesn't exist. who made that rule?
also, what i really dislike on both sides are the dogmatic intolerant christians that want to lock up atheists, and the dogmatic intollerant atheists that want to ban religion and take my right to believe away because they dont like my beliefs. its crazy how some of these nut jobs try to explain why its ok to take away my freedom, its scary. frankly im tired of all these debates on youtube. all it is for most of it is two people on their soap boxes proclaiming "i am right, you are wrong, if you dont agree with me you are stupid or going to hell, etc."
its the same with anything, there are reasonable, normal, good people in each group weather it be race, religion, whatever. and there are always going to be zealots who make their group look bad. it just disturbs me more when i see atheists do it since they have their facts straight about the age of the earth, etc and the majority of them are very smart. to see a person that intelligent suggest he wants to take my human rights away is scary as hell. i expect that from a person who doesnt even understand that dinosaurs cant be on the ark with Noah, but not from a person that can explain and break down deep science concepts, etc. -

1. before you bring up a topic, talk about how we are allowed to ask questions, and we are encouraged to do so.
i have tried saying, "one thing i like about the organization is that it encourages us to use our minds, and we don't get into trouble for asking questions, the organization loves questions like the ancient bereans did.. 2. always phrase things in the form of a question.

Im all over this. I do this all the time. I just look for opportunities to talk, like the fact that the #4 was about witnesses not being false prophets. my friends dont go to my hall, so i'll bring up questions and say i heard them during this talk. im totally on board with you bonafide.

as we start the new book in our book study i am already missing the exciting time we had studying the revelation book.
though many in our bookstudy who were studying for the first time found it tough in the start, our book study overseer made it very easy.

me, no question. thats why i have been vocal about transferring it. what if i didnt find it? most of the apostate sites on the net when i went to them i dismissed them. i mean, i love six screens, but is that not the most stereotypical apostate site? lol! i mean, i ran from it, lol. you have to be at a certain level in your leaving to be able to read six screens. at JWD its just so much more chilled.

anyway, i want to find as many references as i can in the old literature in the 20's-70's that discourage education because the time left is "reduced" or the ones that even go so far as to say the end is a few months or years away.

he is not fully indoctrinated and i think as many of these references i can get the better.
i also am looking for references in regards to end times stuff like 1925, and 1975, etc. i plan on printing out the pdf's at watchtower documents, etc.

How long did you stay active after having major doubts?
by jambon1 infor me, i had doubts from the beginning.
however, my 1st major doubt came as i had it confirmed that other people felt like i did about certain big issues within the org.
there were many, i realised, that just knew things were not right.

i do agree that we all can grow and learn as time goes on in our lives.

my beliefs have changed, hell yeah. i was in and defending the WTS in my first few posts, now i am out, only over a few months, lol. i was a diehard witness, but its just so clear that the WTS are liars. very happy now to be able to read the bible now without the chains of the wts.
