  ten pounds in ten weeks week one

  haven't read the posts on the other thread yet - will do so asap.

  in the meantime, had a long day myself, did not got for a walk, worked nine hours without a break!

  busy day, had breakfast, only a yogurt for lunch, was glad to come home and have a bowl of cereal.

  the jw have so many phrases that are not found in the bible but that they spout as though they were deathly important.

  you have to keep up with present truth.

  hey greendawn you said the bible doesnt say anything about paradise well what about that famous part where jesus is on the so called stake or w/e and he is spoken to by some criminal who is on a stake beside him as well, whereas its stated that jesus notices his repentance and assures him"i will see you in paradise" that paradise cant mean some sort of death unless you guys are talking about an older bible version?

  i just received a letter from my (jw) parents, informing me that my (jw) uncle has passed away.

  he was my favorite uncle who could always make me laugh.

  i think you should go for me ONE THING IS CERTAIN I lvoe family whether i shall be disfellowshipped or not i would still talk to them and force them out i guess im a little crazy but still your blood is your blood and then they might realize there only sharing some words with you, honestly whats the worst that could happen thats just my perspective heck if a family member of mine disfellowshipped i would still talk to them at the funeral its for family's sake its as though there is no honor there must be honor

  yes sitting in pizza hut in 1991 a small band of pioneer brothers {me and friend's} debated when armagedon would come.

  due to the "generations" doctrine, we calculated 2001 at the latest...then the doctrine was dropped!!!

  recently the last world war 1 vetran died in australia.

  so what about the new one where they say those who have seen the world wars i think second or first(cant recall correctly) that those people who are now mainly in their 80's or so will witness armageddon? how is the WT a fraud? im new and im trying to Figure tthings out, you guys say uve found the light i dont get it ive been in this religion since i was 6 taught there would be paradise and now i found this website(these forums)talking about the WT society as a fraud damn im so confused please dont take anything i said to offense i just dont know what to believe now

  it is no longer on the main page of the authorised site of the office of public information of jehovah's witnesses.

  they moved it here: http://www.jw-media.org/newsroom/index.htm i wonder if this partially a result of the criticism from jwd.

  their response is noteworthy because they openly admit that they did settle with abuse victims (despite the outrageous spin they put on the issue).

  It is true that these things happen. There isn't a religion where it doesn't. What is the point of attacking (publishing media) only JW's when the catholic religion that has done for centuries? Only a blind can't see that this type of journalism is only to stain the name of God. Parents should warn their children about sexual abuse and other matters, even if it comes from inside the family, that I do with my children, but to mention only JW's cases in this matter, I believe it is unfare. Why is it that I never find an article that says: "Catholic priest raped three children" or somehting like, "Baptists sexually involved with a minor." I hope you all see my point, the religion of these people who have done worst is never mentioned. It is only the JW's who are attacked and not other religions. Now, not every JW's is a pedophile, very few cases have happen, but I can speak for all the JW's that I know and put my life in the steak for must of them because I know they are good people. And about those ""advices"" of hidding you children when a JW's is knocking on your door, that is like saying that you will get AIDS just by talking to an HIV+.   this song called ave maria, theres hundreds of variations, i love it, except, im not sure whether or not i should stop listening to it because last i read it was about someone praying to jesus mother in time of distress; i also read that its a song that has been sung many times in the catholic church.
