My sick twisted soon to be rid of her mother in law said the same thing about 9/11. She didn't care AT ALL. I came to her house mortified and crying and she shrugged and said it didnt matter, they were all wicked people, and that now maybe they would actually have a hope of the resurection. No remorse for their families, no sympathy. She also made "oh the trib is just around the corner" comments. I was horrified of her reaction, it was sickening. If i could have slapped her too, i would have.... Still want to.

The most inappropriate remarks from Jehovahs Witnesses
by jambon1 ini have a few which still either anger me, make me sad or just make me grateful that i am no longer one of them.
1 - "well, everyone is going to die anyway, so if it at armageddon then ce la vie" 2 - "the disater today at the world trade centre is sad, but exciting" 3 - (an elder) "when armageddon happens, i want to be at a window, watching it all".
sick, sick, sick!

this makes me sick
by burningbridges inmy soon to be ex husband takes my daughter, who is two and a half, to the meetings still because our divorce judge awarded him her on those nights since i didnt attend a place of worship at the time of our split.
(well duh, i was recovering from a cult) i recently found out she has been "answering" at the meetings.
(she is very advanced for her age, very talkative and articulate) i'm just sick from this.

He's doing it just to please everyone else in the congregation, no thought for how ridiculous it really is...

Resoltions at the cong
by Iwonder17 inso last night, our cong asked us to pass a resolution.. what i noticed was, the elder reads the resoltion and then asks for everyone in favor, while he is looking down.. all of the dubs just raise their hands, and before even looking up, th elder says, ok, we'll approve this and send it off.. what a joke !!
why even bother.
just make the rules and tell them people, don't give them the illusion that they have a say in the matter.

Once we had a resolution voted for and immediately after they "passed it" they informed the congregation they already hired a crew to do the work!!! (it was to repave our parking lot for $12,000) Wow! Talk about not caring what we say!! They already decided on theit own before hand!! What fools to say that...

Name Things That Are Uniquely "Special" To Jehovah's Witnesses
by minimus injws have certain must haves.
for example a jw needs his or her own "bookbag".
an elder needs an "elder case", something very big, because after all, he's an elder!

Those stupid print out sheets for the kids where they mark off "jehovah" "jesus" "satan" to make sure they pay attention and don't act like kids

Out of Body Experiences
by amama2six ini know there's been some talk of paranormal...but i wanted to be more specific with my post.
i am going to admit to something i have only recently come to realize about my time being raised as a jw.
blame it on selective memory (or lack of much memory at all).

That's really an unusual experience, i;m a little skeptical. You aure it wasn't your imagination? You said you were a child, maybe just daydreaming and snapping back into reality? Come on, I'm not the only one thinking this.... Not that these things dont happen, its just like "oh, uh, ok"

Tried to fade away
by Magwitch ini left my chauvanistic po elder husband 2 1/2 years ago (after 20 years of marriage - ten of those spent pioneering as a couple).
i took my two beautiful teenage daughters with me - he did not seem to care too much that we were gone.
his main concern was the humiliation and aggravation of having to step down as an elder.

WOW, he didnt fight you for the girls? What the hell? Some P.O watching over his family huh? I'm so happy that he didnt but that action right there shows how much he didn't care, or was happy to be "free of the burden of family" so he could be married to the lord. Bastards.

I told him its disqusting how he turns her into a puppet just so he can get attention from her being cute. She has no clue what she's saying or doing, its just a showy display. How can parents do this to their children, it just sickens me. He says he's "teaching" her to love Jehovah. Bull shit. He wants to look like a good dub, plain and simple. Its a bunch of crap.

ok, simple anology to ask "did christ die on a cross or stake?" look in the witness bible.... Look up John 11:25:
25 Consequently the other disciples would say to him: "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them: "Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails and stick my finger into the print of the nails and stick my hand into his side, I will certainly not believe."
Now put your hands over your head like your dying on a stake... How many nails would you need? If The Lord had his hands spread wide, he would need multiple nails and thus would need the plural form of the word nails. Our God is not dumb so as to inspire John (who knew every detail of his death) to improperly document such facts.
IN addition to this, the sign "king of the Jews:" was stated to be "above his head" not "above his hands" use this info in addtion to the link I provided you earlier and you can see that the witnesses clearly turn a blind eye to obvious evidence.
What's the big deal you may say? Well they make it a big deal don't they? So we must bicker mindless facts....
pm if youd llike to talk. I have lots in common with you
