How did you survive?
by highdose ini've been asking myself recently, how did i survive growing up in a cult that activly works to destory your condifence, soul and personality.. i think it was only because deep down somewhere i knew it was wrong.

How many excommunicated Catholics do you personally know?
by poppers ini grew up catholic and i never knew any; still don't.
and i can't think of any catholic i know who personally knows any.

She says she was exed for divorce. Thing is, her husdand was a wife and child beater, so she felt she had no choice. I know no other details. From what I know of Catholicism, this seems to be extreme, so I'm guessing there are elements to it that I don't know.

Porn is .....Mostly Irrelevant
by metatron inthis is one of those things that can amaze you (well, me actually).
you are taught a relentless fear about porn and it gets demonized heavily - but what is the real result?.
most guys don't want a porn star for a wife and separate fantasy from reality in regard to interaction with the opposite sex.. maybe that's why religious types like witnesses demonize it so much: they are unable to distinguish fact from fantasy.. see:.

What religion would you recommend for those who want to leave the WTS?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inafter i decide to leave the jehovah's witnesses one day,i will not look for a new religion.
the damage that the wts has caused me leads me to mistrust all men and religion.. i trusted these men from the wts .
i gave up 35 years of my life to find out that the wts is just a printing and real estate corporation disguised as a religion.

by EndofMysteries inhas anyone done this?
i would think many would have with technology now, and there would be websites with tons of clips, and showing how the defenses, scriptures, etc brought up and responses by elders.
