I had to keep reading this over and over again.
This is nothing more than total hypocrisy by the Watchtower.
the following quote is taken from the article is it wrong to change your religion?
in the july 2009 awake p29:
no one should be forced to worship in a way that he finds unacceptable or be made to choose between his beliefs and his family.

i was wondering does anyone still put links to the jw only watchtowers in pdf.. .
Thanks everyone
Just what I needed to bring things up to date.
Maybe we could have a section where such things like the WT pdfs could be put so we know were to found them.
in my hall growing up, i remember 6 childless couples.
some have died, some are still alive.. i stayed single for the kingdom, hope to change that.. presently in my congregation, there are 4 brothers over 30, two over 40, that are single for the kingdom.
and about 10 single sisters over 25.. three of the five married elders have no children.
My wife and I married in 1974.
Our first child was born October 1975.
Not one JW , even an Elder ever said anything about us having a child at that time.
We went on to have six more the last was born in 1989.
Again no JW ever said anything about us having children.
In fact when I think about it our Kingdom Hall had a lot of children in it.

i have scanned several newspapers from different states.
it seems some have declared a state of emergency.. many say hospitals are overflowing with people coming in for runny noses (who do not have flu, but are in a panic about it or are trying to get heavy antibiotic prescriptions).. some states have schools closing.. just wondering.... are any of you seeing any flu panic in your area?.
When "Bird Flu" was the subject we were being told that up to 150 million people worldwide would die from it. How many died? 200.
As one doctor said here in UK in a newspaper article "Hundreds of people died every year from flu. Mainly the old or the very young. But no one goes on about them being a "pandemic."
This is latest from BBC website 3rd May 09 at 10:25am

as an ex- elder, i can look back and see all the power and control we had as "shepherds".
when i was an elder i genuinely tried to comply with anything "mother" demanded of us.
i would reason that since "mother knows best", i would comply with the organization, even if it didn't quite seem so fair or right.. as time went by, i could not help but see the unfairness of soooo many rules and regulations.
Nice post Minimus
I agree we were ALL under the influence of "Mother" Watchtower.
Yes I sometimes think about "certain" Elders and their behaviour, power went to some of their heads.
But there were those who did genuinely care for the congregation.
As you say there is a regime of condemning rather than commending. If someones late its a case of "Better late than not all".
If you missed a meeting and an Elder phoned it was usually "Why weren't you atthe meeting?" never a "Hi Gordy, how are you missed you at meeting. You OK." Would go a lot futher than the former to help.
I have gradually over they years since leaving come to realise that those who are still in are really no different than I was when I was a JW.
I was fortunate enough to escape, even though it cost me some of my family.
there were 20 in the group from 3 congregations.
it was kind of a "special talk" special meal with the speaker and his wife.. no one, i mean no one, not the elders there, nor the pioneers, talked about anything "spiritual.
" everything was about work, entertainment, personalities in the congregation, and music.
I often found the same thing when I was a JW.
My wife and I would often invite other JWs to have a meal with us, these included most of the Elders.
Even the most "spiritual" ones never talked about anything "spiritual" . The times I tried to raise something from a magazine or meeting was usually met with a few "Yes nice, good" then move on to something else.
It was almost as if no one wanted to talk about being a JW and what they believed. Yet the WT would go on about when JWs met together to talk about "spiritual" things. But it seemed to be the last thing any of them wanted to do.
what scriptures would you reccomend, to prove nwt is not reliable?.
please help, i need a reason for my wife to start reading other translation.
i want to start chronological reading of nt with her, to show her wtbs is not a mediator for us.. thanks.

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Matt 20:28
"The Life that Jesus sacrificed was an exact equivalent of the life that Adam forfeited when he sinned. What was the result of Jesus’ death? Jehovah accepted that sacrifice as “a corresponding ransom for all.” (1 Timothy 2:6)"
– The Watchtower , 1 March 2008, p.6.
First, simply checking the ‘persons’; the life of Jesus could never be just an equivalent because, according to the Watchtower, Jesus is the only created being of Jehovah, and, again, according to the Watchtower, Jesus would have created Adam. By very definition that makes Jesus greater than Adam and not equivalent to. More than that, we need to look at the Greek for the Scripture they quote. Where in the Greek is there a word for ‘corresponding;’ answer– nowhere!
The Greek word is “ antilutron” and this is the only time it appears in the New Testament. It means that He gave His life for the life of another. Greek scholars all appear to agree that the meaning of the Greek word for “ransom” simply involves the idea of ‘substitution’ and not a strict ‘no more/no less’ rule.
Please note the word all. This again gives the lie to the word corresponding – Adam one man, sinned and then all those born after him inherited that sin. Jesus, one man, died and took all the sin of those who lived before Him in time and those that lived after Him in time – this work is far greater than what Adam did and it cannot just be brought down to a corresponding ransom – it had to undo not just the original sin but the power that sin has over people. Romans5:14-15 shows this fact clearly,
“much more did the grace...”
The work of Jesus on the cross was for me and I need to personally accept and experience that, not go through an organisation that teaches that Jesus was simply a man that corresponded to Adam. What that ignores is the fact that after Adam all ‘men’ were born in sin and so, if Jesus was just a man, he would have original sin. Only because Jesus was born by the Holy Spirit as God is He able to be the
perfect sacrifice and ransom for all.
The jwinfoline.com website puts it this way:
“Romans chapter 5 clearly shows us that the idea that Jesus' sacrifice perfectly balances Adam's sin is not correct. There is no perfect balance. Jesus' sacrifice far outweighs Adam's sin. "How can that be?" one may ask,
"Doesn't the price have to equal what is purchased?" Not at all! Let's look at an example. Let's says that your beloved family puppy is dog-napped. The captors demand $10,000 in exchange for the puppy. The puppy is not worth $10,000 but you decide to pay the $10,000 ransom price because you really love your puppy and want him back. Your sacrifice of $10,000 is far greater than the value of the animal, yet because of your great love for your puppy, you pay the ransom.
The price you paid tips the scale when measured by the value of what was bought. It doesn't have to be equal. In the same way, God's love for us far outweighs our value. The sacrifice of His precious Son was a price that the Father was willing to pay not because we are worth it, or because our value equals the value of His Son's life, but because He loves us greatly and is willing to give His best in order to redeem us back into his family.”

genesis show the tree of life to be in a literal earthly place that adam was there while perfect and that this place was shut off to imperfect man by an angel with a sword there is no indication that the tree moved or will move position.
So what happen to the Tree of Life during the Noahs Flood?
So if the "tree of life" has not moved, where then is this "tree of Life" described in Revelation?
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. Rev 22:1-3.
i am hoping you can help me.
i have a very dear friend of over 20 years, who was brought up jw.

My God, you must be blind. mad or stupid or all three!!
Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit,"and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud." "
