  Being regular in field service at least 30 hours a month.

  Doing everything the Governing Body expects of you.

  Not disagreeing with the Elders.

  No natural affection? Jehovahs Witnesses fulfill this scripture

  anyone who can turn their back on their flesh & blood sons and daughters, mothers and fathers fulfill this prophecy perfectly.. people who do this are utterly unloving & cruel.

  it has lead thousands of people to feel issolated, alone & in many cases suicidal.

  how can such a thing originate with god?.

  One daughter got married this year, I was not invited.

  UN scandal

  lately i did a lot of reading regarding the un scandal, the org being a ngo for 10 years.

  i tried to read both sides, the comments on jwfacts.com, as well as the defense at jehovahsjudgment.co.uk.. and then the endless discussion on topix.com between thirdwitness and alanf and others.. while i am sure, the way the org handled the whole situation, especially after the article in the guardian, was plain wrong, instead of openly confessing a mistake, it was done secretely and only after inquiry, and made it look like a cover-up.. .

  however, considering the whole issue, i think it comes down to one question:.

  You can pass it on to Dan Brown, he is looking for a third conspiracy to follow the "Da Vinci Code" and "The Lost Symbol."

  I think it comes down to the hypocrisy of the Watchtower.

  That over the years their publications and teachings were constantly condemning the UN as the "wild beast" and ANY dealings with it were not to done. To be an UN NGO you have to agree to uphold the Charter of the United Nations.

  They would condemn JWs, even have them before a judicial committee for have joined the YMCA , just to use their gym or swimming pool.
  Is that any different from signing up to the UN for a "library card" ?

  I have read of a brother who worked for Coca-Cola, one of the places he delivered to was an army base. He was told that he could not do that as it was "supporting" the military. Another brother who worked for a building firm, was told he could not work doing repairs on a church the building firm was on.

  Many JWs were shocked, and a few did leave, they felt decieved.

  I had just left when the scandal broke, even I was shocked.

  For 30 years I was told that the UN was "Satans organisation" don't go anywhere near it.

  Its nothing to do with what 1st century Christian did, or what Romans says.

  Its everything to do with the deception and hypocrisy of the Watchtower over a 10 year period.

  How old was Mary when she got pregnent with Jesus?

  according to mak 6v 3 jesus had 4 brothers and also sisters.. mary was a virgin when she got pregnent with jesus.

  she must have been very young.

  her husband joseph was a carpenter and carpenters were due to the nature of their profession away from home for long periods .. so what is my point.

  This old chesnut again.

  Usually she is considered to be around 16ish yrs old. Nothing unusual back then, considering you could be dead by 40 or earlier.

  Joseph was a carpenter and carpenters were due to the nature of their profession away from home for long periods .

  First time I heard its the "nature of a carpenters profession" takes them away from home for long periods.

  Why don't you think Joseph worked from home, as many such professions did back then. He may have worked on a local building project. But most men back then usually worked locally. Even if he worked in Jerusalem it was only 6 miles away,.

  If Joseph worked away from home for long periods, how would Mary have coped about money etc.

  i am disfellowshipped and i have two girls who live with their dad.

  all of them are witnesses.

  my oldest is 19 and baptized.

  My Eldest daughter got married this year in June.

  I was not invited to the wedding. In fact I only learnt she was engaged through a third party.

  I have not met her husband or even seen a picture of him.

  In fact the only picture I have of her wedding is one of her with her non-JW brothers and sister. Her husband was not even in that.

  i just saw in the revelation book, that revelation is also not addressed directly to the great crowd.

  is there any scripture at all that the great crowd can claim as its very own??

  No, because according to the Watchtower scripture is all for the "anointed" , the "Great Crowd" get a secondary lesser meaning.
