What do you want us to say?
Most of its information known for a long time.
Its the JW's in Britain you should be asking.
think of your friends in the jws and think of your friends now.
how do they compare?
think of loyalty, trust, being there for you.
Friends stand by you in times of trouble.
Friends give love and support
Friends love unconditionally
Therefore no friends in JW's
and how did you learn the truth?
remember those questions?
remember how jws would always ask you that when they met you?.

for a few weeks now i have wondered if my supervisor has been avoiding eating with me.
sometimes i will go out for lunch with a few coworkers and my supervisor will always decline the invitation.. today i caught them leaving for lunch without me.
i know it is unreasonable to expect to be invited with every single group that goes out... but when i looked at my supervisor while he was leaving he gave me the "deer in the headlights" look.
Remember Elsewhere. Its your supervisor who's still under the control of the WT, not you. Just act toward him as you would any other work colleague. Take directions from him as usual as your supervisor. But speak to him as if he was no different from any other supervisor or workmate. He is the one with the problem not you. He is the one told not to have dealings with you, not you with him.
I did this at my workplace with a JW who knew is was DA'd. Would arrive at work say "Good Morning" etc. as if he was no different to me than any of the others. Used to drive him up the wall, he expected me to be cowed down by the way he behaved to me. One day he didn't turn up, moved to another section hadn't he. But when ever I see him I shout his name and wave. It drives them nuts because they expect you to be all meek and timid when you meet them.
Do to any JW I meet while out and about as well. Nothing annoys them more than you being happy.
i have been in a number of different congregations over the years, and i have to say that the level of conversation i had with my fellow believers, with a few exceptions, was rather poor.. here are some 'opening' comments.. 1) nice to see you at the meeting.
- i never understood this.
can you imagine going to a company meeting and saying to your fellow worker, 'nice to see you at the meeting'?.
If I remember everyone talked about anything but the meeting.
Also the thing that puzzled me was when we had JW brothers/sisters round for a meal etc. The WT said have a "spiritual" converstation. But you could never do it brothers/sister would talk about anything, but "spiritual" things. There was none of this "Have you read the latest Watchtower article/ point in meeting/ book study etc, on such and such." as the WT said we should. I would be hard pressed to get even an Elder to talk. Now after leaving I realise that they were probably afraid to say anything that may be wrong or be "reported" back to the Elders if they disagreed on something.
is it just me, or does the "questions from readers" segment in the watchtower these days sound phoney?
i know years ago they had the initials of the questioner along with their country of residence underneath their questions which seemed more, oh i don't know, realistic.
(the things people used to ask about!
I think that sometimes the answers in QFR are obviously statements by the WT. Usually clarifying some point or slipping in a doctrinal change. The number of times I heard "Didn't you know that there's a "new thought" on that subject, it was in QFR " from some Elder.
Or as stated above sometimes if enough questions com in on a subject it must warrant an answer so they publish one in QFR. If the answer is in the WT it carries more weight than if they sent a letter to someone. Then somewhere a publisher will think "Hey! Thats the question I sent in. Isn't the GB great in answering it in the Watchtower."
i received this forwarded from my dad tonight... .

Doesn't seem to work in Britain.
i have caught myself preaching while in a few of those rooms, till i had to tone it down a bit and say just tell them what you personaly think, not what the wt says.
I do on Paltalk.
They have a couple of JW groups on there, they usually go into a panic when you start asking awkward questions.
Theres also a couple of anti-JW or ex-JW groups as well.

Well someone did invent a language, Esperanto, which is basically a mix of others and grammar.

Actually the Bible doesn't say in Gemesis that God created NEW languages.
Gen 11:7 "Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another's speech." NASB
The Hebrew word translated "confuse" or "confound" in other translations comes from the Hebrew word pronounced "balal" meaning to "mix, confuse, mingle". So this could explain why so many language have words similar to each other. The language was "mixed" just enough to prevent certain groups inderstanding each other. Thus preventing communication enough that was needed to carry on the building work of the Tower of Babel.
