  other than the kingdom songs i`m sure we must have squeezed in some time to listen to the radio between territories and on the way to the mettings.. my musical tastes vary from classical to heavy head banging music,basically i like everything!i love the cult,rush,van halen,boston,etc anything from the 80`s retro era.. but my favourite song would be everything counts by depech mode and she sells sanctuary by the cult!.

  lonely?

  ever since i've come to this board, you take every opportunity possible to imform everyone else how sad you are, do you ever give encouragement back to others, or have you always been like this, doing your best to stay as miserable as can be?.

  you know theres lots of people here who would like to help you, given the chance, in fact i can't even be bothered to give you any encouragement this time, cos all you do every time you see someone in chat is tell them how lonely and sad you are.

  i have to ask this although i have a feeling i dont really want to read the responses but anyway.

  i talked to several people here today who dont believe there is a god at all.

  this is disturbing!

  hey flower im pretty sure there is a God basically coz of life itself.. the good the bad and all the workz.what im not sure if He/She really wants us to worship/serve Him/Her..maybe He/She just wants us to get a life.....

  she informed me that the summer convention was in early june this year.

  which also happens to be finals week for my brother.

  when's the district convention in the us/uk?

  well here if it's around xmas time or new year.....i was thinking they put at this time so ppl would not have the slightest chance to party..

  abt the memorial..it's just bad timing coz here (catholic country) we have the holy week so people could get on vacation coz it's official holiday but of course the memorial gets in the way...grr grr

  sometimes i feel i'm the only ex-jw living on guam.

  i actually know i'm not, i have heard of a few others, but they really have no interest in ex-jw activities.

  hey seedy..im from the philippines myself and from what i saw in your post family ties are too tight here too...same with kids living with their folks....as in your case, i dont think there are other ppl from the phils who post here....

  How do you feel about paying TAX?

  i just had a shock today when i realised that i had just paid too much tax for last year.

  i had forgotten to add almost 1000 pounds expenses to my tax return.. oh yes i'm going to get some money back.but should i be so hasty, this money will go toward policing , education and many other important needs of society.. maybe it would just go to some corrupt official or politician who will spend it on a slap up meal.. so how do you feel about paying your taxes.

  are they too high or not high enought.. are there any better ways for keeping countries running smoothly.. also what taxes do you pay in other countries?.

  here i think most cheat on their taxes coz there's no point in paying it just goes down right into the pockets of government officials...no benefits whatsoever, the quality of public education is close to useless and i dunno..at least u guys over the us/uk/aus get some of it back in some way...
  im from the philippines btw..a lousy country but still love it..hehe

  does anyone here take the creation story literally?

  if yes, did u do ample research and think carefully but still believe in it?

  if u don't think that the story should be taken as literal, what is your reading of it and do u still believe in the bible as the inspired word of god?...thanks in advance..
