I remember lurking here years ago cause I didn't want to tell the elders on myself and have a judicial committee if I could figure a way out of it. I came on here, was very careful on what I'd allow myself to read, talked to somebody on here who was currently an elder and thought to myself, "Well, I could have been in his hall and he is technically an elder and forgave me. Soooo, it's out of my hands now and is the elders fault if he's wrong." I could finally let it go...

When I came back as Cognac I didn't even realize this was the site I was on that time. It finally dawned on me when I went on an old email address I had.

I had two that I knew pretty well. Both of which I must say are one of the nicest people I've ever met. One when I was younger named Manny. I believe he knew both Hebrew and Greek. He bought me a present and was so nice. I believe he became an apostate.

The other brother I met in my mid twenties. He was so nice. I loved him!!! He taught me how to read the bible for the first time. He was very important to me waking up. Probably the most important to me waking up. He's still in but I still wonder if he's really an apostate on the inside...

Breastfeeding in Bathrooms...

the natick, ma assemble hall used to have it's own room for breastfeeding mothers.

they changed this room to the accounting room or something like that and now have seats available for breastfeeding inside the bathroom.. there is one other small room available for breastfeeding but they close that off when the baptism is going on.

needless to say, i used to get so pissed off that they actually wanted me to breastfeed in the bathroom that i would threaten to a brother that i would take my boob out in front of everybody and that is there problem because breastfeeding in a bathroom is unsanitary.. one year they put me in some backroom.

One year they weren't quick enough so I actually did it and another brother who noticed (cause of course I did this in the lobby) almost had heart failure and ran up to another brother to discuss. One sister was trying to cover me but she couldn't actually touch my child with a blanket cause my kid would whip it away. And one year I just breastfed in my seat.

Nothing makes the brothers fix things faster then when you threaten, or actually do whip your boob out.

Anyone else have experiences like this? Or, any other funny assembly stories for that matter?

I was a teenager visiting a friend to go out in service at a nearby congregation. It's her turn at the door and she decides to completely lie to the householder about our names. Then, he asks questions and she doesn't know the answers so she just completely made stuff up. Then, she started laughing and couldn't stop and asked me to take over. I didn't know what to do cause I couldn't even remember the name she gave me, lol.

so i have a friend in a congregation in new jersey who recently called me to tell me that he got a divorce.

nothing surprising there at first but it is the fact of when it happened.

his wife began pioneering april 1, and after about three weeks she came to him and told him that about 4 years she had engaged in loose conduct (fondling the penis and the guy kissing her breasts) during a time that she was inactive.

I've never in my life heard of this being a rule. Watch, the Elders will contact Bethel and Bethel will tell the Elders they are actually wrong. Now, the guys "thinking" is corrected, he has to go crawling back to his wife but by this time she will probably be repulsed by him...

Tell the guy to contact Bethel to make sure of this rule. I think the Elders are saying what they think and they are actually wrong...
