i spoke with my sister on the phone today who still attends meetings.

the co visit was last week and she said in his talk he related the bible story of joseph and potaphers wife and he made the statement that joseph was a pedephile and that is why he went to prison.. where in the world could the wt be going with this line of reasoning?

Blondie: That would make sense and maybe that is what he meant to say but that is not what he said because it generated quite a bit of conversation after the meeting. But he specificly said that that is why Joseph went to prison. ?????

She said that he said another thing that made the cong gasp. He was talking about only marrying in the lord and said: "If you go marry someone out side the org that you might as well go down to the morg and pick out a dead body to marry."

Such a loving organization.

In my case I am contemplating DA myself. If I do however I want all records with my name destroyed, and if that happens there should be no reason for the elders to come by once a year to see if I am interested in coming back because they have no record of me. Not that they would anyway. I have not been to a meeting in 8 months and still concidered a JW and no one has bothered to come by (not that I am complaining) but proves to me that they could care less about a lost sheep while they continue to pound on straingers doors every week pushing the WT. Certainly not like Jesus parable of the shephard who left 100 sheep to save the one lost.

So if they won't do it, what is the point of publishing this in their secret book?

What if I made reference to the flock book in my DA letter with the page number? Do you think they might do it then?

The other think I am trying to decide is should I give them any reason as to why I am DA myself or should I just state I don't wish to be a JW and keep them guessing?

part of the congregation and requests that his name be
removed from all our records, we should comply with
his request.

Can any former or current elders tell me what records this would include? Would it include anything to do with a Judicial hearing?

Has any body ever requested this?

If I were to ask for this in writing, asking the congregation to send me written confirmation of all records with my name on it being destroyed prior to an announcement being made what are my chances of getting such confirmation in writing?

Is 40 too old for a tattoo????

ok, as you know, i am a wife, mother of 6 and almost 40 years old.

i have had this urge to get a tattoo for about 3 years now.

I don't think so. I was 40 when I got my first. My sister got her first at 41 and now has 3. I have had many complements on mine.

So if you want one, I say go for it. After all the apostle Paul had one. (Gal 6:17)

Not a bad idea.

After getting them printed up, you could almost guarantee sales by getting up on Saturday monring. Go to the Kingdom Hall.... wait for the F/S meeting to end and follow a car group the the street they are working. Simply follow behind them after they leave each door.

Of course it would make their job easier in that they won't have to knock on that door next time and they still get to count time.

i have announced i am on a crusade to encourage skeptics to think on the issue in a way they probably have never done before.

i initially have made the mistake of cramming everything into one, two or three posts.

this i should have immediately recognized is an impossibilty because what i have in mind requires a great amount of meditation to fu;;y comprehend.

Not any more!

When I was married, my wife had doubts that I was faithful to her. I was, but she said she could not shake the doubts.

In the bible it says: "God hates a divorcing" and "Anything asked of god that is his will, will be given"

I prayed to god to remove my wifes doubts since they were not true. If God hates a divorcing and it is his will that a marriage stay in tact, why would he not answer this prayer?

Her doubts never went away... she decided to divorce me based on those doubts.

God and I have not been on speaking terms since.

For those who believe in the power of prayer any logical explination for this lack of power?

Nathan,

I think the GB canceled the 4 day omlette seminar and decided to bring in incubators to the farm and hatch the eggs quicker.

They figured out that the more vultures there are to eat the flesh of 6 billion people.... the quicker they will be able to move into all the nice new homes of all the "worldly" tm people. LOL

Besides that the GB members are getting so old that they can't aford to clog their arteries anymore, there is already a lack of blood flow to the brain.

If the WTS was concerned for the flock as they claim, I wonder why this information was not published in the WT magazine? Would have made a good study article and put all pedos on notice to what will happen if they do this. Things that make you say hmmmmmm.
