I do believe for the most part, most working class JW's are good people basd on the teachings. But at the same time, I've worked side by side with non-jw's with the very same if not higher work ethics.
But from my personal experience, I have stumbled from time to time the "special treatment" expect from fellow JW's just becuase were brothers/sisters whether being the employee or employer. There's been cases were if a JW Employer wasn't satisfied with your spiritual work load even though has nothing to do with your real job, he/she would hold it against you and possibly jeopardized your employment. I've had this conversation with close friends in the ORG about this, and openly admit that certain things are expected if working for, with or having fellow JW's as employees. I made the decision years ago where I wouldn't even go into business with a fellow jw seeing what happened to my family and friends in the past.
The big issue I had is rendering services on military installations or religious orgs other than the WTS. Before finding about the NGO scandal, my mind wasn't 100% certain if I should troubleshoot eletrical wiring on a coast guard cutters while in port or working on site at locations directly related to the military in some way. Even though I wasn't building bombs or participating directly, it was instilled by elders, members and from the platform itself to avoid those situations as not to compromise one's own conscious.
Well hey, if the society has openly admitted to having brothers and sisters that are EMPLOYED by the UN and fine with this NOW, why should I care about working on life safety and emergency systems at these sites, whether it's government contractors/affiliated companys or religious orgs not associated with the WTS?
It's douschebaggery, I tell ya. Douschebaggery...

If you could get a Bible Study to visit ONE WEBSITE....
by inkling inok, so right on the cusp of my awakening, i had a sorta-bible study with the man who had almost died in a nasty car wreak .
(he was saved by a like a gallon of tranfused blood, btw).
when i stopped going out in service, the study was taken over by a rather dimwitted witness on conservative side .

Baby Milestones
by WTWizard ini checked a web based company that sells witless supplies just to see how much money one could waste on their products.
true, the products can make life a bit easier on witlesses by organizing calls and service time.
they have service bags that cost around $50 and include return visit books, that close to 9" x 10".

^peggged it
Some of the bibles are going for well over $100 plus!!
The wts bling is out of control. I guess it's cool since it's not a cross or star. -

Wow, I can't believe I'm doing this....
by megawatt inwelp...
it's been a crazy ride for over 25 years, pretty much raised as a witness (ever since i could remember), rebelled against my parents, came back, straighten out for a little while, married within "the truth", but the last 5 to 7 years, i've been seriously questioning the changes and doctrines established by the wts.
never thought i would be looking from this side of the fence.

^Great post, eyes open.
It's definitely the approach I'm taking for sure, seeing how easily the wifey can get upset, knowing her family is little bit more on the extremist side when it comes to this subject. I do believe the indoctrination has a major role of me doubting what I'm doing is right, but it's something I'm overcoming day by day.
My main concern is the wife, since most of her life revolves around the ORG, it's something I won't be expecting anytime soon for her to simply leap out and leave. I've been having doubts for nearly 5 to 7 years , so I've got a decent head start deprogramming myself, lol... -

^LOL I stopped the door to door thing a long time ago, pretty much inactive for the last 3 to 5 years when it comes to field service. The wife has been going and always "stressed out" about not being up to par on monthly field service and meeting attendance. She now understands why my meeting attendance has been tapering off a bit and with just cause. Again, thanks for the words of encouragement!

Do Most Witnesses know about UN SCANDAL?
by Abandoned init seems to me that most witnesses still don't know about the un scandal.
since it has been such a useful tool in helping people see the truth about the lying duplicity of the watchtower, how can we get this message out to more in the organization?

Well, I'm one of those who never knew about the UN scandal and it changed my perception of the WTS immediately. From there, it's down hill.
And thanks to members like uninformed that went the extra mile to inform me about the double standards of WTS.
Very much appreciate the package, uninformed! -

WHOA! Thanks for the stellar responses!!! Oompa, Very much appreciate the info sent and will be saving this for later tonight after everyone's settled down, read and really meditate the information at hand. Keep 'em coming. Sass_my_frass, I've been searching for a while for hobbies or activities I would enjoy, even being criticized for it, by elders or members who rather hear about my weekly field service hours and door to door experiences. My enjoyment has been 2 wheels (track only) for the last 2 to 3 years and love it. Thanks again for the kind words and advice.

WELP... Even though I'm not a 100% certain of what I'm doing is right, the more I research, the more it turns up damning evidence of the WTS cover ups, scandals, false prophecies and ultimately, the MEATBALL of them all(IMHO), the NGO membership from 1991 to 2001 and participating in worldly affairs without any logical explanation or rebuttal. At least to me, I'm not satisfied. And to be honest, it's been the last 3 to 4 weeks where I started aggressively (hours a day sometimes) to search out info, articles and personal experiences outside the watchtower. It's real hard on the wife, even though she's in shock and now lacks confidence in the WTS, the fear of being shunned, working along side of family who are witnesses and of course being raised in this organization, it's a lot to take at one time. This will be a long journey, which I have NO IDEA where it'll take me and hopefully wife will still be at my side. Thanks for reading
