JW and hate
by is there help out there inthere is a young jw at work and she states that she does not have anyone.
does the wt teach that all worldly people are evil and therefore jw must hate then.
if she does not hate them does this not make her a apostate.

Welcome to the club BB59!
My mother is not attending our wedding this Friday for all the usual, screwed up, crazy JW reasons!
I've tried everything I can to get her to come.... no joy! In fact, if she was to come now it would be most upsetting... I've just come to terms with the fact and I'm not letting it get to me!
My wife-to-be has offered to transport her, (160 miles) put her into hotels etc,. No way ... "Hotspur can explain why I just can't be there". Ummmm - no I can't. I can't offer one sensible reason! Not one..... She even had the temerity to ask for her corsage to be sent to her that we ordered! Wife-to-be's response is unrepeatable! My daughter (in) was asked to take some pictures for her grand-mum. Son-in-law's (also in) response was, "If you want some photos come and takes them yourself!"
Whatever I reason I give I'll let you know after our Honeymoon! Actually, I won't ever give a reason..... she has ownership of this one - not me!
I do know this has caused a big problem for the furture relationship with her new daughter-in-law. I said I'd never speak to her again.... if that's what she wants. If whe wants to use those rules then no communication it is! New wife-to-be said, "That'll make you just like the witlesses". Good point..... who will crumble?

Knowing the UK judiciary, that's probably 10 years total!
The UK prison inmates are notoriously 'hard' on child sex offenders..... don't think they worry about two witnesses - the more the merrier in their view.

I thought there were only two ..... at least according to my, then, 9 year old nephew and, as he said, the answer to both of these is "Yes"!

That's a bit like asking "Are you a bad driver?".... Who's going to admit to that?
Me, I didn't think I was until I met the love of my life 4 years ago. My ex-wife never, ever mentioned what I looked like.
This new lady says I look like a cross between George Clooney and Dustin Hoffman.... am I gonna argue against that....? ( we get married next Friday)

Just a point on the signature portion...... it must be said that IF the 1991 scanned form is genuine then there is NO place for a signature.
That said... it may be only a "fact-fiinder" form.... there may be other forms (more than likely) which would require a signature(s) making it binding on both parties. I agree with you. I simply cannot comprehend a venture as this, between large organisations as these two are, not having a formal sheet with signaturies of both parties.
I have often filled out an application request for some service or other but, when the service is finally offered I was required to sign an agreement.
I smell a rat......
I will say this whole issue is the one that really did it for me...... hypocrits!

Do JW's donate blood?
by hotspur ini raised this point in another, short lived, thread but feel it needs more thought...... at least some other opinion.. now, before we go too far in this discussion i reckon i know the answer and it's an empahtic no!.
but.... how can they, in all conscience, receive the fractions they are now supposedly permitted to take?
is it another case of..... "living in the world but being no part of it"?

Thanks Blondie..... I knew I could rely upon somebody on this board to come up with the facts!
Just as I thought .... a pile of hypocrisy wrapped up to look like well researched scriptural doctrine. No wonder I feel so unshackled since I've come to terms totally with my escape! It's taken a few years.
I like the way it's confused with yet another controversial subject "Christian Holidays"... which is something else they can never celebrate and yet enjoy some of it's benefits. I knew of one elder who hated the fact the meetings sometimes fell on Xmas and Boxing days! It interferred with his "break" as he called it!
So, as a Charitable organization how do they charitably benefit the community? I really hope they lose this tax dodge for being a Registered Charity.... they do not know the meaning of the word! Grrrrr!

But.... how can they, in all conscience, receive the fractions they are now supposedly permitted to take? Is it another case of..... "living in the world but being no part of it"? One the basic tenets of Christianity is that "it is better to give than receive" This would make their action a stance of pure hypocrisy..... maybe I'm missing something (again)!
I'd love to know the reasoning on this now. When I was in it was simple.... no blood! So donation wasn't really an issue but with more leniency toward what is permissible then the donation question raises it's head quite prominently.
