I think it was because I thought it was expected of me. I don't remember making a dedication in prayer. I just went along with the crowd.

inspired by another thread.. i was baptized at 12 years old.
i had a cousin, two years older than me, who was prettier, more outgoing and more popular in the hall than i was.
i couldn't beat her at any of that stuff, but i figured i could be a better jw than she was.

in the last year the watchtower's public relations department is being inundated with inquiries concerning jehovah's witnesses and their bizarre behaviour.
the recent murder and cannabalism of a three week old baby is the latest in a series of ongoing horrific news articles linking jehovah's witnesses to acts of violent crimes.
http://www.seattlepi.com/national/408515_baby28.html?source=mypi what is causing these problems?
If she had been , say a Baptist,, do you all think her religion would have even been mentioned in the artical? I really don't think so. Being a Witness is not the problem here,, she is mentally sick.
the best thing for me..... my son stopped over and he realized he needs to buy a home....so we quickly did a run on the internet in our neighborhood and he found a jewel.. whether he gets it or not....it was fun for both my husband and myself to go see, help him ask questions and give him the ok.. it's probably just a dream, but reminded us of our younger days.. how was your day?
something happy please!!!!
we have enough horrible negatives going on right now..
I was able to visit my son and his family 2 weeks ago and go jeep riding over deep gullies and mud holes. Lots of fun.
That is fantastic!
a co-worker of mine whose, wife and daughters are jehovahs witnesses, told me about situation that his oldest daughter finds abhorrent.
he said that a close friend of his daughter was found dead in a car the other day.
she was in her early 30's and had been a lifelong jw.
I feel sad about this. When someone is despondent enough to commit suicide, they should have received the needed help to begin with, and the family sure don't need to be treated like they have the plague or something. And in this situation it was'nt even ruled as a suicide. They did'nt know what this woman was thinking.
read this story in time magazine.
bon appetit!.

This is just to gross!!
heres why you should never run over a mattressby rob einaudi.
the owner of this vehicle came in complaining of a shimmy at high speeds.
i guess 60 pounds of wire wrapped around the driveshaft will do that.
Wonder what he had been drinking?
so, we were brought up in/enticed into an organisation that we believed was a spiritual paradise.
everyone appearing to be better than the world around them.
my experience was of youngsters leading double lives, partying hard like the best of the world.
I just mentioned to my daughter today how I view non-JW people in a very different way than I used to. Not all are bad, many have turned out to be better than many of the Witness friends that I used to have. Most people are actually pretty nice and want to just lead a good life. And like was mentioned earlier, I'm not judged by how many meetings I go to or don't go to. I saw much more hypocrisy in the org.

but the invention has already attracted the attention of medical experts.. "for doctors this is a fantastic development and it is absolutely unique," said stuart campbell, head of obstetrics and gynecology at king's college london and a pioneer of the use of ultrasound diagnosis in the 1980s.. the technology is being tested at a clinic in rio de janeiro.. "it's amazing to see the faces of the mothers," lopes said.
This is really amazing!
