I think that parents in any religion can carry discipline to far. It's not always because they are JW'S. Why would there be so many abused children in the world. The little Casey girl in Florida for example. We can't always blame Witnesses for the bad actions people choose to take.

My mom uses the" not seeing my dad in the ressurection ,"all the time to try and make me go back. It won't work though. Actually, it just makes me mad. Mad that they will try and bribe you to stay in. I wonder how many stay in because of the fear of not being there for the ressurection?

how did we cope as kids?....to feel less freakish?....i think i...
by oompa indecided humor was the answer........i am not a looker and have been described by one here as lookin very "normal".....and i took that as a huge compliment......but i learned early on.....at least by third grade.......that those around me liked to laugh, and that if i made them do it.......it made me feel good..."normal" maybe.......anyhoo........i have done some stand-up comedy and had fun with it (as in i did not bomb)........and written more material than i have ever used..........i think if i could have any job it would be letterman's........but would be happy just to write for him, conan, or snl..........so what did you do or not do to feel more normal as a jw kid?........i also made valentine cards and did the pledge!

IT was very difficult growing up, especially in school. School assemblies where the flag salute was done or the national anthem. It was so hard to remain seated. I could feel myself turning red all over. Totally embarrassing.
I made my own kids do the same thing and now feel sorry for that.

The interior of your vehicle....how do you keep it?
by restrangled inthis subject may seem like fluff, but it really isn't.
in the last 3 days i have been in 3 vehicles, where the floor was not visable, water bottles or garbage were accidently kicked out as i tried to get in.
coffee cups belonging in the house were littered willy-nilly, the passenger seat was loaded with crap, and one vehicle actually held underwear of the persons love interest.

I use Tuff Stuff all the time. It works great. I keep my car clean but it does get dusty on the inside.
