  What Music Do You LOVE To Listen To? What Do You HATE?

  i love r&b, soul, neo-soul, and "classic" disco.

  certain groups and performers i've seen and enjoyed were earth, wind & fire, marvin gaye, anita baker, the temptations,luther vandross, janet jackson, and literally hundreds more.

  i don't care for country/western, punk rock or heavy metal..........what do you like/don't like?

  I am still discovering what I like. I never really paid attention to music before.

  I can say that I can find in most music streams something nice and interesting, however I do not like blues or jazz it's to slow and down. I like several types of rock to pump my adrenalin levels up: Queen, Korn, Linking Park, Metallica, Limp Bizkit (although their recent stuff sucks bigtime)...

  I used to think that anything heavier than rock was not for me yet recently I have been infomed that most of my rock is heavy metal. So maybe I'll like black-, thrash-, death-, or other bash your head through the mirror kinda stuff. Should give it a try, as I said I am still discovering... CD's so unbelievable expensive and I have still to get me some fast internet connection so it will take some time....

  Wasted 15 bucks today [a narrative account]

  okay, feel free to skip this message if you don't like long stories.

  i'm in a writin' mood, so i thought i'd try my hand at entertaining the readers of the group.. a couple weeks ago i went downtown to check out an exhibit on sustainable technologies.

  i was particularly impressed by a computer keyboard manufactured from carrot and celery fibers, using starch as a binder.

  So their music on the CD was not the same kind as you heard on the street? That's a shame! I can find delight in some forms of religious music like Gregorian chats, epic and grandeur music. Indeed, religion can inspire people to create or compose great things. Spirituality and religion it seems, are able to bring both the best (freedom, tolerance, kindness) and the worst (bigotry, hathred, (mind)control, bloodshed) of humanity to the surface. You saw both sides of the coin for only 15 bucks. A bargain! ;o)

  RATED R MOVIES

  this past weekend a relative came over with these ultimate fighting dvds that he bought but he wouldn't sit down and watch city by the sea because it is rated r.

  they can be so dense and hypocritical!

  when i pointed out to him that his ultimate fighting dvds are un-rated but in my opinion it is far worse to watch people fighting for pure entertainment purposes than it is to see a rated r movie that teaches a great life lesson.

  For better or worse in my country we have a very different rating system. We have suitable for ages above 6, 12, 16 and 18. Also a newer system points to content like: contains swearing, drug or alcohol abuse, sex, violence etc.

  However, the implication are that in some congo's some movie is a no-no and in another one can freely watch it. We had once an older elder stating Bond is not for christians. Most JW's here determin for themselves what they'll watch and what not. Some are strict and some are very liberal.

  If I remember correctly did both Josephus and Tacitus record miracles of Roman Emperors. (a virgin giving birth to a real lamb?? or something like that...) This should tell you that you should take what they write with a grain of salt.

  The evidence for crucifixion in the traditional depiction (an upright stake with crossbeam) is overwhelming: inscriptions, paintings, josephus etc etc. I always wondered though why the WT would make such a fuss about it. It doesn't really matter to the gospel message how he was killed.

  so glad this convention will "dispel myths" regarding the j-dubs, and that they won't baptize anyone too young, only 11-year-olds and up!!

  What sane parent would let their child drive a car at age 11? Or better example: marry at 11 years old? None right? Because at that age the youngster is to inexperienced to fully grasp what lies ahead: responsibilities, accountability, commitment etc etc.

  Now it is often said that baptism is the most important decision one takes during his entire life. How then is it possible to make such a commitment at age 8?! That's ludicrous!
