how about the futility of continuing RV's when every single time you asked the HH if they enjoyed the last editions of the WT and Asleep rag only for them to say "NO" but we returned to give them the newest rags thus repeating the same pointless scenario month after month,year after year,I bet it still goes on

i don't think i shared this story yet, it's strange and although i did a little detective work trying to figure out who said what and when i never found out much, big surprise, jehovah's witnesses love their secrets as we all know... but i thought other posters might find this interesting both in and of itself, because of what an elder told me one sunday back in 2011, and because of what it could imply as to high-ranking jehovah's witnesses prophesying the date of armageddon.

specific dates went out the window in 1975, although governing body helper ken flodin hinted at 2040 in a talk uploaded to jw.org a couple years back, and the governing body hinted at 2034 in a watchtower back in the 90s.

but it might be, just might, that more specific date-setting still goes on behind closed doors in certain circuits.... so after i went to "meetings" and talked to witnesses for a couple years at a rural congregation in the eastern united states an elder pulled me aside one service into the vestibule at the hall, in other words, into a private area where no one would overhear us.

nmnwe've heard it all ; its just around the corner, its so close you can even smell it, LOL, fools, as soon as they cry "peace and security" the end would come (1986 being the international year of peace) the creators promises to be realised before the end of the 20th century, what promises?

most definitely,summoned to a JC on a charge of "apostasy"lied and begged , crocodile tears etc, begged for repentance etc, was found guilty on the first kangaroo court, appealed and won, more lies and crocodile tears etc, cant have been many JC's like mine! I was gone a few months later, couldn't bear any more of their BS, plus I was marked, the witch hunt was quite intense, testimonies were gathered from my wife(LOL) and close friends who I'd spilt the beans to, the moron elders loved gathering the evidence against me, it was something out of LA Law! they weren't happy times, my marriage was over, my folks were heartbroken, and I hit rock bottom, it was a difficult time, to put it mildly, there wasn't a happy ending and it wasn't all plain sailing, how I came out of it all sane I still wonder to this day.

the watchtower society always attempts to disprove or discredit valid arguments or statements by criticizing the ability of individuals to think, reason, ask tough questions and make their own decisions!

if they can't logically attack the message, they attack the messenger!!

the name calling of apostates or anyone who doesn't agree with all the wtbts flip-flops ( the light gets brighter) never stops!

did you know?the 1st case heard by the supreme court of the united states concerning the watchtower society involved a director (an officer) of the watchtower, william franklyn hudgings.. a brief description of hudgings and his character.hudgings was an attorney, quack doctor, self-identified ‘scientist’, a pro-zionist, and religious enthusiast who over the years held various director and officer positions in the watchtower society, and the affiliated people's pulpit association and international bible students association.

at the time of this particular case, william hudgings acknowledged being the corporate secretary of the people's pulpit association and acknowledged that his daily duties included the administrative charge of printing of the watchtower magazine, the bible student's monthly, the kingdom news, and other watchtower publications.. (hudgings was also re-elected to the watchtower society board of directors in january 1919.
