  although i know it is a small step, it feels real good to me to do a little something to shed light on this cult.

  i am going to put a few copies of this little fact sheet around and put a copy in the kingdom hall's door in the town i am going to this evening, leesburg, fl.

  that way i know at least one witness will see it, though i doubt he or she reads it beyond ascertaining that it is critical.

  Making THEM Face FACTS

  i am going to make a short, simple fact sheet to leave in places where jehovah's witnesses tend to leave magazines or frequent (hmmm, maybe a few in the door of the kingdom hall?

  ) i would like to tell the general public things about the witnesses and at the same time tell the witnesses who read it a few things that they don't know or understand either and help them to see themselves as others see them.

  i am thinking about four or five topics with a few sentences and maybe a watch tower quote for each for shock effect to the witnesses.

  What I did on my vacation

  i stepped out of the publix grocery in orlando, the heat hit me first and as my eyes adjusted to the glare of the parking lot, i saw him, white hat, white shirt, black as ethiopia with a gray mustache, seemingly untouched by the temperature wafting up off the asphalt, smiling big as he conversed with a middle aged couple by a car.

  that would mean his blood pays for your sins, if now.....if.. he is your high priest... and if you are in the covenant.

  i have researched the jehovah's witnesses and your church doesn't believe you are in the new covenant or that jesus is your high priest or that jesus is your mediator.

  this newsgroup is sort of a brazilian equivalent of alt.religion.jehovahs-witn and was established in november 3, 2000 by the isp uol (sort of the brazilian equivalent of aol).. the newsgroup has an average of 10 messages per day and in these 2 months since november has attracted both jehovah's witnesses apologists and critics, since it is a newsgroup open for all (just like alt.religion.jehovahs-witn).. first the jehovah's witnesses apologists in that brazilian newsgroup complained to uol about the posts of the "apostates", perhaps hoping the critics would be banned.. when that didn't work, they threatened all critics and sent v1rus and e-mail-bombings to 6 participants who criticized jehovah's witnesses.. when that also failed to keep the critics away from the newsgroup, they complained again to uol, saying the newsgroup had been diverted from it's initial purpose.. what a ridiculous excuse!

  when i got out of the service and returned home, my parents had studied and become witnesses.

  my aunt had been one all of my life but i never thought it would affect my parents.

  i was disgusted and surprised.

  things about the jehovah's witnesses that remind me of the marine corps.

  1. both demand conformity in hair cuts, dress and attitudes, failure to conform will bring disciplinary action and forestall.

  2. both try and isolate you from the world, though only for three months at parris island, a lifetime with the witnesses.. .
