  i posted this in another thread.... i wanted to give it its due concideration..... i wish to share a small tid-bit of something that came to "light" last week.

  it shows how underhanded and sneeky the little trolls are, and they even know they are.. an issue came up recently in a watchtower over a certain number of years that was mentioned in a w.t.

  the actual years in the bible was different.

  just wondering if there were any positives to being a jw.

  i have read most of the posts and see that a lot of people were jw for years and years and was thinking that not all that time could things have been bad?

  oh and somewhere in gen. it is supposed to state that we are living in the 7th day now????

  I had just as many good times, just as much fun, and have retained just as many fond memories of being 'in' as the Israelites slaves in Moses' day did.

  I mean, how bad could being an Egyption slavehave been? Their baby boys were threatened with death, so what; they could make more. They didn't get straw for their buildings, so what; job security. Gotta give those 'lively' Hebrew women sompin' to do anyways. And when they did leave, not only did they go loaded down with gold and jewels and whatnot, but they went loaded down with Egyptians as well. Danged if I know why the Hebrews left in the first place...

  See? Lots of good times.

  And before someone goes screaming off indignatly, I am being facetious. Fa see shous...okay?

  do you have some site to help me?

  i thing it should be really hard to do this because they are mind-controlled.

  i mean, even if you bring them logical argument, they won't believe you or the doubt that you have introduced in their mind will dissapear at their next meeting.

  1)the tfjw society, even if separated from its mother, uses the same politics and tactics of disfellowshipping its members.

  here in romania we have a saying: it's the same mary, only the hat it's different.

  Is pedophilia an unforgivable sin?

  in my opinion it should be and a pedophile should never be allowed back into the organization.. the children they abuse suffer for the rest of their lives so why should a pedophile have forgiveness and be reinstated?

  I say the perpetrators can be forgiven and accepted back in as PUBLISHERS ONLY AND FOREVER, IF the victims say so.

  After all, a disfellowshipped person can usually only be accepted back into the org if the original disfellowshipping BOE says so.

  (So I was told, so it happened to me and so I read in the "Pay Attention and Fleece the Flock" book online and also in the 2 editions of the Org books. What really usually happens is anybody's guess)

  I say if the victim(s) can't 'get over it' or if they commit suicide over the assault(s) (that what it is, call a spade a spade)or disappear never to be seen or heard from again then that perpetrator is 's--t out of luck' and hooray for that. Then let the 'reformed' perpetrators WAAAAAAIT ON JEHOOOOVAH...

  As for the comment.."we might as well execute them" don't even get me started.

  The C.O. and elder came to my house last night!

  please tell me i made the right decision.

  last night the co and another elder showed up at our house just 5 minutes after my husband got home from work (i think they were sitting on the side of the road just waiting for him to come home)*stalkers*, anyway to make along story short, the pressure was on.

  i felt like they were there to get us to da ourselves.

  Terrible, terrible terrible and it doesn't surprise hardly anyone one this board. Many of us have been through it and no doubt many more will go through it as well.

  But for what it is worth, the 6 million JW now have 2 less on their rolls, and those numbers are beginning to be noticed. It was brave of you to share your expereinces with us, and I appreciate it and I'm sure everyone here does.

  We can never take your family's place, but I hope you find enough support, love, and friendship here to tide you over the next few weeks/months/years however long it takes you to recover.

  Just know many of us here love you and will be here for you. They have been here for me.

  in the book "the nations shall know that i am jehovah" they prophecied the end to come in the "20th century".

  there is also a page where they claim to be prophets but i cannot find it.

  They may be disturbed by the cry of Christendom that Jehovah's Christian witnesses are "false prophets!" They may not be fully convinced that these are true spokesmen for Jehovah the Sovereign Lord.
  Chapter 4
  Here, then, since 1914, and particularly since the year 1919, after World War I had ended, we should look for the modern-day counterpart of the prophet Ezekiel.
  Who, then, are the group of persons who, toward the beginning of this "time of the end," were commissioned to serve as the mouthpiece and active agent of Jehovah? In order to determine this, check the history of 1919, the first postwar year after the first world war.
  Certainly, then, back there in the postwar year of 1919 there were none among the war-guilty religious elements of Jewry and Christendom who qualified to be commissioned as the modern-day counterpart or antitype of Ezekiel. Was there no one, then, whom Jehovah could raise up to serve in a way that corresponded to that of that ancient exile in Babylon? Whom could the real "chariot" of Jehovah's organization roll up to and confront that He might bestow upon this qualified one the commission to speak as a prophet in the name of Jehovah? Ah, there was a group whose members had suffered religious persecution during World War I at the hands of Babylon the Great, the world empire of false religion, and whose members had, in fact, come out from the religious organizations of Babylon the Great. In fact, they had refused to be a party with Christendom and with all the rest of Babylon the Great in actively taking part in carnal warfare during World War I. Who were they?
  Likewise it was a trying mission upon which the modern Ezekiel class was sent, to religious people of the same type as those in Ezekiel's day. But regardless of how Christendom views or regards this group of anointed witnesses of Jehovah, the time must come, and that shortly, when those making up Christendom will know that really a "prophet" of Jehovah was among them

  And lest we misunderstand, the point is made in the review question...

  Who were disregarded in the appointment of Ezekiel to be prophet and witness, and from whom do Jehovah's anointed witnesses of today recognize their appointment as coming?

  Certainly, then, the prophetic work that was foreshadowed by the prophet Ezekiel long ago was being carried on by his modern-day counterpart toward the antitypical rebellious "house of Israel."

  My thoughts, Maximus is that they are maniacs.

  Any one who acts this way in the real world is mentally ill. It's interesting to me that so many of us shrink from reaching this conclusion even after all we have collectively been through.

  And if you read my post Watchtower and Rape please help, you know why I think so.
