Will religion ever be banned?

i was asking because look at all the problems religion are causing :september 11,middle east crisis,waco disaster,clashes in ireland,paedophiles priests,suicide bombings,papal system etc.but think if masses of people protested it my not ban religion completely,but it could make a start to banning it.but the trouble again is that a lot of people want religion even if it is full of @*~t,yeh and why is it that people know theres problems in there religion but wont take a stand,why are religious people are such cowards to the truth.saying that though if i managed to get say jws banned from preaching i would be fulfilling bible prophecy mmm how cool lol

Religion=$$$$$=power

Gov. love religion because it helps them control people and focus them on nationalism. I would love it if organized religion died a painful death but I have to agree with Spice. As the old bible thumping generation dies away so does the religous ideals they held. However, I've seen allot of young christians out trying to convert people. In fact there were two teens hanging out near the New Age section in B&N trying to talk people out of buying occult books. Needless to say I had plenty of fun destroying their repititous bullshit that they had spent so much time memorizing. If every religion could drop the idea that they have to convert people I think the world would be so much better.

I used to go through an eighth every couple of days. Now pot only makes me hungry and tired so I don't bother anymore. LSD did nothing for me and I gave it a couple of shots. All I did was stay up for hours talking allot. It did help with the Rave I was at as I danced for 4 hours straight with no stopping. Needless to say my legs were hurtin the next day. Mushrooms....oh sweet sweet mushrooms. Everytime I had taken mushrooms the experience was amazing and it is the only drug I'll recommend to anyone. My last experience was on Halloween back in like 1992. We took some mushrooms and watched these candles burn for about 6 hours. I could see these neon glowing words floating in the air everywhere. It was the Snuggles logo, you know that fabric softener with the little bear. So anyway, there's all these pink glowing neon snuggles words floating everywhere while my candle (the candles were a pile of wax skulls that slowly melted away in a green gooey wax).

This whole war on drugs in the U.S. is nothing more than a war to keep Government agencies stocked with cash flow. They love busting pot users and growers because they can for the most part function as regular people and have lots of stuff to sieze.

I was wondering how long it would take the great numerologist to come around this post. I think JanH's intention is not only to expose the idiocy of the JW but also anyone who attempts to try piece together some type of numerical elixer that will somehow convince them that they contain some type of unknown knowledge. The Bible is vague on prophecy and numbers for a reason. It follows the same pattern as Notrodamus and others who try to make predictions of the future. You need only make a generally vague prediction with enough passion to make it sound convincing. You want me to make a biblical type of prophesy?

Here goes: The sun will rise on the day of a great battle between good and evil. Fire will reign from the heavens and great calamaties will fall on those who are in its path. The King of the east and the King of the West will wage war until none are left to fight.

That should be nice and general enough. Now in two thousand years they can start a cult in my name. Mwahahaha.

i recently discovered that non-profit corporations in the us *must* be politically neutral, or they lose their tax exempt status.. this, more than anything else, explains the witnesses firm stance on this matter.. peace,.

I wish I did Amazing. I watched a hour long investigative show on MSNBC about how a watchdog group sent one of their guys in undercover in the CC. I'm not big into conspiracy theories but the news agency did the same thing and got pretty much the same info. They discovered the main goal for the CC was to have complete political control in this country through the churches. Now everyone wants complete political control so this is no surprise but how they are getting to that end is very surprising. One guy in the CC was even bragging on hidden camera how they have people placed in other lobby groups to help them. I saw this episode about 10 months ago. Given the current God craze in this country I'm very worried about what may be happening in D.C. The worste possible thing on this planet is having a religous controlled government. I do think religous Americans are total hypocrites when we slam on mid east countries and their barbarism. If christianity or whatever were running a country it would not be much different than the Taliban run Afghanistan.

Embarrassed

sometimes when i think back about when i was a dub, i get a little embarrassed.

i remember telling my kids not to draw on watchtower mags (i also had to tell their mother) i was a grown man and would let nerd elders counsel me for dumb things, like saying the word luck, or bulletin board.

i remember getting to the end of the month and not having the cong average field service time and start to worry what the other elders and co would say.

I was part of the poor white trash family. I always thought it funny that even in the KH the people would break up into their clique'sand usually me, my brothers and sisters were often just ignored. My mother was always saying it was my fault because I just didn't go over and say hello to the other kids. The worste part of being a JW was how inconsistant my parents were at meeting attendence. I remember (kicks himself really hard) this girl in highschool was coming on to me hard and I didn't know what to do (by this time I was baptized). She even went so far as to just start kissing me all rammin her tounge in my throat grabbin my hand and putting it up her shirt. Guess what I did? Yep, pushed her away and told her that I couldn't see her anymore because I was a JW. I was sooo embarrassed to see her in the hall for the rest of the year before I graduated. Ahhhhhhhh, I'm still pissed about that.

Nice to see your a complete moron Comforter. How bout if I beat the shit outta your mom that way you know what spousal abuse is all about. Since I'm sure wouldn't get the not so subtle hint in that statement, I'm sure you know nothing about domestic abuse. There was a MS in my hall that sent his wife to the hospital three times and not a damn thing happened to him because the elders convinced the wife it was her fault. If the story is fake then so be it but domestic abuse is a serious problem. I had a friend whose ex-husband held a gun to her head while he urinated on her and that was before he beat her. You wanna tell me that story is fake because it sounds unreal? Wake the fuck up.

So how come some men become pedophiles? Whilst I basically believe people are products of their environment, I'm not sure how certain behavioral problems fit this picture.

That is not fully known yet. Most seem to have been sexually abused themselves when they were kids while others led a perfectly normal life. Again I believe it becomes a matter of choice. Sometimes that cookie in the jar becomes more tempting because it is forbidden. Of course these guys can't refrain from what they do because they can't seem to tell the difference between fantasy and reality. Personally, I don't think they should be let go. Either keep them locked up for study or kill them.

I take my Pagan viewpoint that there is no such thing as inherent evil. When you do something bad it is a choice. The Devil didn't make you do it, it wasn't part of Gods plan, it was a choice that you made. While we are born to protect our own we have yet to find our own balance with nature. Anyone who is convinced that we're born into sin just has a self defeatist complex. The concept of sin itself is nothing more than a guilt trip.
