  My first flag salute and national anthem!

  i've come a long way, baby!

  i stood for the national anthem for the first time ever at graduation on sunday.. i saluted the flag for the first time ever at a community event last night.. it was surreal and felt wonderful, like i was doing something so natural and good.. when i put my hand over my heart for the first time, it felt very strange.

  i had to think for a minute if i used the proper hand over the right place.

  Yup, me too! Didn't feel wrong either. Congratulations!

  Not to hijack the thread, but I felt the most powerful feeling overcome me when I prayed directly to Jesus Christ for Him to live in my heart. Words can not describe the feeling ... it's almost like your heart is overflowing with pure bliss. Not once did I have that feeling as a JW.

  Wrote a letter to the Catholic Chruch.

  it was 1969 when i answered that first knock.

  1970 when i got baptized.

  it was suggested that i write a letter to the catholic chruch where i was baptized and disavow my baptism,that i no longer considered myself a catholic.

  I was baptised Methodist and was asked to send a letter during my studies with the Knowledge Book to renounce my faith in the Methodist church and it had nothing to do with being baptised. I sent the letter. Nine years later, I sent my letter of disassociation to the Kingdom Hall.

  so far, i like needful things, secret window/hidden garden, and langoliers best.. guy at the bookstore said the stand was the best.. i just bought the shining and pet cemetary (book's in the other room.

  We have it tough down here; this was taken at the end of a hard Friday afternoon of golf cart witnessing this week! There is a community down here - Peachtree City - with 90 miles of paved golf cart/biker/jogger/walking trails. The high school parking lot is filled with golf carts - thus, golf cart witnessing. Hey somebody has to do it!

  the battle rages on, i sent this letter to try to give support...what do you think?.

  ok, i'm done with the _____thing...but i took the option to participate in going to the kh with you.

  i making an effort, but at times you turn away from my questions and you'd never do that to a "book study".

  **OUCH!!!**

  so i was cooking supper a few hours ago and i broke up a dried birds eye chili with my fingers into my pasta sauce.

  now supper is finished and i am relaxing and i get an itchy eye - i rub my eye... &*%$ ... it is 45 minutes later and my eye is still sore!.

  what stupid self inflicted injuries have you suffered and what can you recomend for a burning eye?.
