Hang in there Newborn. Don't give up on her, and the love you have for her. . .and hers for you even though she's suppressing that love. I'm sure you go through mixed emotions, but all you can do is hope for the best that maybe one day she'll wake up and realize how much it's not worth losing you for. Even though she's not replying, it may be some comfort to know that she is reading your mail. Stay strong and continue to write her about events in your life that you would love to share with her and ALWAYS bring up the happy memories you both shared and how much you love her and that'll you'll always be there for her. . .no matter what. Take care. . .I wish you well.

The most inappropriate remarks from Jehovahs Witnesses
by jambon1 ini have a few which still either anger me, make me sad or just make me grateful that i am no longer one of them.
1 - "well, everyone is going to die anyway, so if it at armageddon then ce la vie" 2 - "the disater today at the world trade centre is sad, but exciting" 3 - (an elder) "when armageddon happens, i want to be at a window, watching it all".
sick, sick, sick!

DanTheMan, I cannot THANK YOU enough for the laugh you gave me today regarding your grocery clerk comment!! :)
I was laughing so hard, I had to fan myself because of the hot flash I got from it!! I was at work and my boss had to ask why I was hysterical all of a sudden.
Reading the "Talk by Herd" made me sick to my stomach, but thanks to you, it was all worth it! OK, I have to finish reading the rest of the comments now. I am so thankful to be able to come to this site and share in everyone's feelings. . .the ones against the Watchtower that is.

Hi Randy, you've been busy making changes today. Lookin good. I think it'll take time for us to adjust to the change, but that's normal.
I have to say, that I did like the picture you had on the other site. . .the one with the bars on the eye. To me, it was a picture that made an impact of a serious and sad subject.
Maybe you can stick that eye picture (or another one) somewhere to reflect the negative aspect along with the beach picture which is calming and reflects peace and freedom. Kinda like stating what it's like being in the Watchtower, and what it could be like if you get out.
Hope I said that right and you know what I mean.
Regardless, great job you are doing, and I thank you with all my heart for having your site to go to everyday.

fresia, you mentioned in one of your earlier posts about how much you hate when opposers and apostates lie. I don't like when people lie either, so please answer this question honestly (as you say you are a Jehovah's Witness).
Does the Watchtower teach Jehovah's Witnesses that All non-Jehovah's Witnesses are worldly? If you want to give an explanation, that's fine, but please start with a yes or no.
Thanks~

Your JW Relatives Have 2 Personalities - Cult & Authentic- See the Change
by flipper inin steve hassan's book, " combatting cult mind control" - one of the points that assisted me the most is understanding that all cult members have a " cult " personality which turns on when defending their faith, and they have an authentic, non - cult personality they were born with- the personality they had before being programmed by the jehovah's witnesses or any other " cult".
how is this dual cult/ authentic personality manifest ?
hassan mentions in his book that, " one moment the person is speaking cultic jargon with a hostile or elitist know-it-all attitude .

It was exactly this split personality that freaked me out when I witnessed it in my daughter. She is sweet and kind, a good sensitive girl with a big heart. When I started to finally research this religion and get some idea of what they believe in and read all the endless heartbreaking testimonies, I started to see some of the same negative behavior in her. When I approached her with some questions, I was absolutely blown away by her reaction. When I watched that cold glazed look creep into her eyes, I lost it. . .I broke down. She had never looked like that before. When she was looking at me, she was looking right through me. All of her normal, sensitve emotions were gone. It was from that day on that I have vowed to do whatever I can to help save her away from these people.
That was a few years ago. They have since moved her out of our home so she can be closer to them and away from her opposing mother, but that does not stop me from seeing and talking to her every chance I get. Now that I know what they are all about and what their true agenda is, I understand how they think. So, I keep in constant contact with her and tell her much we all love her and that we are here for her no matter what. She no longer has that cold hard emotionless look when I talk to her. She may not want to talk about certain subjects because she doesn't know how to answer the simpliest questions. She will get fidgety and look uncomfortable because I can tell she's thinking of "how" she "should" answer instead of just answering the way "she" feels. It's frustrating to see that, but the soft sensitivity is back in her big brown eyes.
She knows exactly how her whole family feels about this religion, but she also knows that we will never stop loving her because she belongs to it. We always bring up the past and the good times and I always try to get her to think of what she wants to do with her future. She's still so young and always talked with excitement about life after high school, until she got caught up with them. Now, she doesn't talk about it, but I know it's still in her to want to do something she loves, other than what she's doing now. . .work. . .meetings. . .field service. . .meetings. . .meetings. . . . . . .

Long last letter to dad...please comment-not mailed yet
by dawg indad, .
i doubt youll even read this letter since it comes from your son, a son youve abandoned over your religious views, but i wanted to write you one final letter to see if theres any hope that you can come to your senses as far as this religion goes and we can renew our relationship.
im doing this because i care for you and mom deeply and feel very much distressed that you two refuse to see anyones opinion as being factual other than your own when it concerns the jw religion.

Hi Dawg~
Flipper brings up a great suggestion. . .if you can go see your Dad face to face, you could personally give him the letter. You're letter was great and it sounds as if you released alot of frustration (which is good for you cause it helps), but there's also that love and concern in it that would be so much more effective if he could see it in your face. He may cover up his emotions, but if he sees the love and concern in your face, he will remember it. . .no matter how much he might want to ignore it. When he's by himself, he'll think of it. Definitely send the letter after you've had a chance to change it a little. If it comes back, send it again. Just keep sending it and don't give up and always end with how much you love and care for him (and your Mom).
Even though he's your father and he should know best doesn't take away from him being human, and unfortunately, it always seems that we hurt the ones we love most. You be the strong one for both of you and try to break through that wall he has up. It might be extremely difficult and frustrating as all heck, but that's what we do for the people we love. . .We don't give up!
I hope it works out for you (both of you). Take Care~

The Future of the Watchtower Society and the Internet
by DT init seems that the watchtower society was very ill prepared for the advent of the internet.
perhaps, some of the governing body thought the end would come before it became a big problem.
now it is a big problem and is only going to get worse.

To us here who understands how the Watchtower works, we can point out how obviously contradictory it is for them to discourage their members from going on the internet, yet they have their own "official" site. To add to that, there's one particular article they have posted that explains exactly who they are, although they would like for you to think otherwise. But again, since those of us who are on to their word games, we know better.
To any Jehovah's Witnesses who may be reading this for whatever reason, or anyone who is researching to try and decide if this group is right for you, I implore you to please read their article entitled "Do Not Be a Victim of Propaganda". Please read that article and truly ask yourself if they are the Educators or the Propagandists. It's in black and white and so clear cut, and there's absolutely no way that a Jehovah's Witness can read that article and not agree that the Watchtower is indeed the Propagandists. Please, you owe it to yourself to read it, and truthfully answer the questions they ask and come to YOUR OWN conclusion. For those of you who may just be researching or just starting to study with them, please keep the article where you can refer to it. I assure you, it will come in handy.
Be strong, as I'm sure some will come to the obvious conclusion. We're here to help you if you need.
Senora, Good for you! Glad you did your research and read the internet and now know what the truth really is. I only wish my daughter had a computer or even took an interest in one.

My daughter that I'm trying to save from the WT loves them, which is the reason why I chose that picture.
