  The Gospel is this "that Him crucified and on the third day rose again"

  You can't be serious! And just how in the hell am I supposed to get my time in if that's all I have to say at the doors?

  So yer tellin me that all I gotta do is get all dressed up on saterday mornings, take just a bible with me, and show people that scripture? I don't need any books or magazines and I don't need to meet for service to go over my presentation with the others either? What if I go to a door and show someone that scripture and they say....I already know that......then what?

  Hi Greg. When you have your bible study, ask your conductor why Jehovah's Witnesses believe god is going to destroy every person on this planet except for them.....including people who have never heard of a Jehovah's Witness before. If they tell you god isn't going to do that, then I suggest you tell them you want to look into this matter some more. Then, you come back here and start a thread asking for proof that witnesses really do believe this and people here will show you proof that they really do believe this. In fact, if you greg, discontinue your bible study with them and don't join them, they believe that you will die when Jesus comes even if you love god and Jesus with your whole heart. If I'm wrong, I'll personally send you $20....I promise.

  Godhead

  romans 1:20 is the second place the word "godhead" is found in the scripture.

  in this verse the apostle starts off saying "the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen.

  paul was speaking about god's divine nature, and was not talking about three manifestations of god.

  The best doctrinal discussions come about when we use the Scriptures. Anyone have a bible? :D

  My guess is you don't want to discuss anything. You want to prove your belief system is correct and the JW's and everyone elses is wrong. Why don't you try something christians are supposed to do for a change.....like sharing the hope you have in christ and talking about something you KNOW you can agree upon. Why is it always doctrinal debates your type always wants to get involved in? Is this what christ wants from you and others......to argue about who has the correct understanding of the scriptures, or would he enjoy listening to you encourage other believers and discussing the common hope you have? Go to the lost........most here were already lost but were found when we left the witnesses.

  okay i am getting messages from gay exjw site message board that ray franz is back at meetings.

  i cannot imagine this has a fragment of truth... has anyone heard about this?

  can verify or otherwise?

  Another example of the 'god of justice' in action. Adam and Eve eat fruit, and suddenly many species of animals become food for others, having to suffer for this alleged "sin" committed by humans. Nice.

  I guess it's the same reason billions of human must suffer for the sins of just two.

  Actually, the dubs have never given any scriptural proof as to why animals would turn on one another for food. The bible only says that god put a fear of man into the animals when he gave man the permission to kill them for food, but WHY this would cause them to prey on one another makes no sense.

  Besides, when Noah and family were given permission to eat animals, where did they get the animals? Was it from the ones they just spared in the flood? If that was the case, how did they reproduce if only two were permitted into the ark and Noah spears and eats one of the poor bastards? Did he wait till they had babies, let them grow big, and then eat just a few of the babies and spare some for reproduction? It's just gets sillier and sillier if you follow it through.

  The society says this applies to only the annointed since the scripture mentions "those that have tasted the heavenly calling". Even then they STILL say only Jehovah can make the call as to WHO has grieved the holy spirit to the point of there being no forgivness of sins left for them.
