Do Not Calls is it about control?
by hoser inelders are supposed to call on do not calls once a year to get their ass chewed on by the householder.
why does the borg make them do this?
humiliate them and make them more loyal?.

Never mind. I googled Sparlock and got JWFacts explanation about it.

Marci Hamilton battles the deadline that cheats victims.- I had a naïve view that as soon as the book was published, the work would get done,...

I would be interested to know how many years it takes a R&F Dub to come out with their abuse stories, especially knowing that no one will believe them.
Probably not until they have a mental breakdown from PTSD.

Hard Wood Floors
by MrFreeze indoes anybody have any tips on keeping hard-wood floors clean?
seems like 10 minutes after i clean them they are a mess again.
at least with carpet it was harder to notice all the little doodads that wind up on the floor.

I hate my hardwood floors. I'm saving up for carpet. When we go to sell the house someday, I'll tell the next owner we put down the carpet to protect our lovely hardwood floors (lie).
My kids wear braces on their legs and must wear shoes over them. Can't take off shoes in my house. Plus I have a cat. It's a losing battle and the floors have won.

Tech49 on HOURS, TIME, and REPORTS
by Tech49 ini thought i would share some of my observations on counting field service time, reports, etc.
and how those reports are viewed, to those that are still so fixated on numbers.. i served as secretary on the service committee for many years, and have seen it all!.
i was really disheartened when wt changed the requirement for aux pioneering to allow for 30 hrs, instead of the 50 it has been for so long.

Julia, not to hijack the thread but what is your chronic illness, if you don't mind me asking? In our KH, people with chronic illnesses were assigned letter writing to addresses in gated communities and not at homes that could never be reached.

Welcome, Inferno. I have JW relatives in Mossy and Oak Hill, WV, and my SIL is from Bennet, I think? You know that West Virginia was the actual location of the Garden of Eden--people are barefoot and naked and think they're in paradise!
Sorry, couldn't resist.

I always "temporary pioneered" in the summer between school years and it was 60 hours a month then. I always got in all my time and recorded correctly. However, my brother Jeff who was a regular pioneer was never out in service as much as I was and even our mother commented that she didn't know when he got his time in because he was always home in bed until noon.
My mother would call her mother (with Alzheimer's) at the nursing home once a month and then record the conversation on her time slip. I was amazed at this, since Granny could barely talk and wasn't always sure who my mother was, let alone alert enough to receive "spiritual food." Dishonesty, it's bred into the JDubs.

Out of the mental cell stuck in the physical prison......no-win situation
by Kensho injdubs are fond of quoting peter "where are we to go lord"... well the answer for me has been this forum for last couple of years which is really sad because i should be able to talk to my lifelong friends instead of faceless avatars.
( don't get me wrong this place has helped me through some really rough times mentally kudos to terry, cedars, slimboyfat, blondie, jwfacts and many others.).
the shun gun has prevented me from making the move completely out of this cult i have given my life to.

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. I've lost all of my family and friends. Many years down the road, I've learned to live with it but it is a hard pill to swallow. All because you simply changed your mind.
I'm a born-in too. If you're near SW Ohio, PM me and we'll arrange a meeting. I know some other ex-JWs in the area.
