First Time Blood Donor

there is a blood drive at work this coming tuesday.. i'm scheduled for 10:00am and this will be my first donation.

does anyone have any suggestions to make it successful?.

i volunteered about 2 years ago but got sick the day before and so i was declined.

Well Done for doing that now you can say to the sad idiot who comes knocking next you gave blood that would scare them.

Thats a good way to help people after what I heard on news about JW's refusing blood and dying, since that is cause of me leaving the cult in the 1st place after the stupid elders lied to me luckly he gotten way with me during the bad times after leaving otherwise I probley would of gotten violent and hurt him as I did have a bad temper towards the cult. I saw a counseller about this problem.

Well Next JW that came to my door, I made a big issue about their ways with blood and my knowledge on the Watchtower secrets these sados tried to bluff their way out, once I learned about their secrets it stays in my mind. Some member of family asked me about it, I told her the secrets to warn them. I learnt this through research while in a bad way. Basically when I mentioned "Emma Gough who died cos of refusing blood because of being with you lot", the JW said to me "The Hospital didnt care for her enough", That was absolute rubbish excuse she gave here. Well I did stick 2 fingers up at them after dealing with them.

but i found afterwards, many did not want to obey the arrangement... one sister cornered me at a local supermarket, and made sure everything was okay with me, and if i ever needed someone to talk to, that she and her hubby were available... .

there is more to this, but another sister i worked with was quite ardent about talking to me about much more than just work .

Another thing I would like to say, I have been in to spiritulism since 11 years old 1 thing that a psychic medium wasnt told or knew until he said you are not forced to belive what other people belived, I believed he was pointing at the Jehovah's witnesses and my way with religion and preachers. It was funny as most of the psychic mediums always said I had a very hard and horried life ie.

During a Time of going through a post cult trauma syndrome one lady did a tarot card reading to me, she turned a 5 of wands and said to me, I see darling your life is sooo stifled I had no clue what it meant until I looked it in the book, it meant the I was feeling like the whole world is against me after that she said emotionally next few days to weeks something will cause you to take a serious look at your life. I was driven back to smoking during this time stupid after a brain op, those next few days I was forced to see a GP due to numbness on 1 side of the body after smoking, I got a answer from the GP with by looks of the diagn osis if you carry on smoking you are committing suicide as you was given a 2nd chance, and forced me to quit smoking. Yes it did upset me a lot here.

Hi All

That was good of people that helped you like that, When I stop assoicating with the JW due to my thoughts of brain surgery since I had a brain tumour and is 28, and blood transfusions. I saw this on the news and in the paper, I was quite shocked. I would helped with pushing your car as I had done that to people who needed help.

After going through a post cult trauma syndrome of being their for 8 months even though not baptized but took it too seriously, these JW's dont seem want to know you after you leave except for 1 I met in the town who spoke to me, even though she had to remind me who she was apparantly this one left and suffered what I been through but worse as she was born in to it and re-joined.

1 thing that was very bad during the time of post cult trauma syndrome, I had anger problems and lost my temper at the JW's bothering me after I left, had to get myself to see a counseller cos it was driving me to violence towards the next witness who bothered me. In my young ages who bullied me due to my difficulties, got a beating quite hard from me it tells I can get like that when angry. Now it takes a lot to get me like that. If I was baptized and got df I probley been worse.

I speak to an ex JW on via e-mail who was df for being a rape victim she also helped me and said I had a nervous breakdown and bit of Post Cult trauma Syndrome after describing the way I felt towards them. She was like my counseller too.

Now I am very against cults and have warned few people who wanted to know about them, I know 1 person said to me wow, you opened my eyes on the cult subject, I have commented JW as a Cult directly to last JW that knocked my door.

EMPTY KINGDOM HALL

i have heard from my father (who is an elder about 50 years old) that there is a great seperating work going on within the org.

he said that almost all of the people my age 25 to 35 have quit going to our hall (about 20 people).

i have not been to a meeting in about 1 year.

The Hall I went to I think had over 25 people in, 3 of us stopped going that also includes me, most people at the hall I went to I knew from school when I saw people from school, took me time to remember them after me saying "who are you to them all", when they said your from Barnwell. It was very susprising that most of the witnesses were from school including a Librerian.

2 people that left the hall were looking for girlfriends where one went to hall for long time and did bible study when I came on scene and he left after me, wheres with me I was serious at that time.

However the other person who did bible study came in casual clothing and looked a mess apparantly he walked out of the hall after being told off for not taking it seriously and for bringing photo album in to the hall to show others gave him a week of anxiety attacks after leaving. Me I was very serious in the religion and went through 1 of worst things than my friend did with was long lasting anger going on to get violent towards a JW, looking up info on the cult and took a while for me to go back the old way as well as having bad thoughts on them. Probley Post Cult trauma Syndrome again if it wasnt for my thoughts to get counselling on the anger, Probley be in trouble and luckly I never lashed out at a witness either.

So this problem, I am not very suprised the hall becoming empty and abandoned. In my words its horrid how they treat you and lies they tell you, if someone leaves and had worst post cult tauma syndrome, worst things could happen. I already started to lecture the JW at the door about the cult itself, hoping they will leave. Some of them probley got put off like I did, listen to a friend who may of helped to get out or disassociation/disfellowshipping. I have also mentioned to them the post cult trauma I had lead to minor stroke from relapsing on smoking. I was made to quit and not smoked since Jan 08. So they knock on door I take no nonsence from them and stir it all in so they just get lost.

What put me off from going there again, as bible student who just getting over a brain surgery seeing the news about mother of twins died for refusing blood made me 1 angery for them lying to me and 2nd Negative thoughts what if it happens to me.

Uncaring Attitude of the Society

i just read the account of a an elderly lady who passed out in a distict convention in canada today (06/20/08).

it seems that as some of the attendees were trying to help by doing cpr, the "brother" on the platform a few feet away speaking did not even pause.

when his talk ended a few minutes later and the lady was still being tended too, the platform folks just announced the next speaker as if nothing was happening.

I think it is all ridiculas and very uncaring, I doubt very much they would be doing a silent healing prayer with man on platform blabbering away at them. When I was there I was writing notes so I was always paying attention to the preacher. If you look at the previous post on pg 1 is where I basically say what I really think of them after leaving the cult. If the person died in the convention or the hall, I am very sure they will have guilt above them. Bad enough it sent me on a guilt trip for while as well as anger after leaving the cult like said on pg 1.

Being shunned by JW's who you know have done worse than you

okay-here's one i was thinking about the other day-after reading some of your posts.

have you ever been shunned by a jw who you know was doing (or had done) some really devious things?

for instance when i was df'd the first person to give me the five minute long evil eye at the grocery store was a sister who had five children by two different fathers and a sixth child who was molotto (she was white) and she insisted that she had no idea why he came out so dark skinned.....she was never df'd.

I am not sure from a bible student who chose to leave, are also shunned, until he/she comes back, after I left the Cult over a blood transfusion refusal death. I havent bumped in to any JW's since if I do I probley would of forgotten them due to my poor memeory I have. I wasnt Baptised

I have seen similar at the convention I went to last year in Twickenham or believed to seen a person carried out of the stadium on a stretcher and the meeting carried on but at that time I didnt pay much attention cos a friend spoke to me he and I wasnt a JW yet but we were bible students at that time. It was also funny how my friend fell asleep in the afternoon. To that in my opinions I have also heard this does happen in the kingdom hall where the meeting just carries on even though there was paramedics seeing to someone. This person I spoke to was an Ex JW she also told me what happens when a disfellowshipped person goes to the meetings. I think now I looked back at them, they are nothing but uncaring, ungrateful, disrepectful lying gits who are victims to this cult.

It was bad enough I was going that way until 28/10/07 where Emma Gough Refused blood after giving birth to twins died at 23 I think, This put me off and made me leave simply cos I had a brain tumour removed on 7/12/06 and blood transfusions may been used. Im glad I left knowing this, regardless amount of anger developed in me after leaving and being bothered by them basically I had to seek counselling fast or I could end up in a cell for assault.

I am a lot calmer with them now or other religious fanatics, I do often use the word cult a lot with the JW. especially after being bothered by the last, This 1 didnt like word cult lol.

I have told many religious fanatics who speak to me I am either a spirtualist or a Diest (Beliver in god but not in a religion).

Why are witnesses asking if householders know ASL?

i'm pretty sure this has been covered before, but i don't remember the explanation.

this weekend 2 very obviously jw ladies were in my neighborhood.

when they came to my door, the leader said they were with a "volunteer group" looking for those who knew asl or needed the service.. i asked what kind of volunteer group.

I thought if a JW asked me that like I say to people on IRC(Chat)I often swear at ASL questions and probley most likely dig in to them like I did on that saturday.

I never knew JW lie about what they are doing when talking at the doors. The lady I lectured about the Cult, was very truthful to me about being with the JWs.

I hardly do get JW's as I was easily angered through the post cult trauma syndrome and breakdown I had upon leaving the Cult.

I got shunned at Wal-Mart

i belive I saw a JW after dr appiontment, he looked familar but an utter idiot, probley heading for the spiritualist church or dr
