First Time Blood Donor
by AudeSapere inthere is a blood drive at work this coming tuesday.. i'm scheduled for 10:00am and this will be my first donation.
does anyone have any suggestions to make it successful?.
i volunteered about 2 years ago but got sick the day before and so i was declined.

post - df experience
by Solace1998 init was a shock to many when i was df'ed -- .
but i found afterwards, many did not want to obey the arrangement... one sister cornered me at a local supermarket, and made sure everything was okay with me, and if i ever needed someone to talk to, that she and her hubby were available... .
there is more to this, but another sister i worked with was quite ardent about talking to me about much more than just work .

EMPTY KINGDOM HALL
by thebigdebate ini have heard from my father (who is an elder about 50 years old) that there is a great seperating work going on within the org.
he said that almost all of the people my age 25 to 35 have quit going to our hall (about 20 people).
i have not been to a meeting in about 1 year.

Being shunned by JW's who you know have done worse than you
by milligal inokay-here's one i was thinking about the other day-after reading some of your posts.
have you ever been shunned by a jw who you know was doing (or had done) some really devious things?
for instance when i was df'd the first person to give me the five minute long evil eye at the grocery store was a sister who had five children by two different fathers and a sixth child who was molotto (she was white) and she insisted that she had no idea why he came out so dark skinned.....she was never df'd.

Uncaring Attitude of the Society
by donny ini just read the account of a an elderly lady who passed out in a distict convention in canada today (06/20/08).
it seems that as some of the attendees were trying to help by doing cpr, the "brother" on the platform a few feet away speaking did not even pause.
when his talk ended a few minutes later and the lady was still being tended too, the platform folks just announced the next speaker as if nothing was happening.

A Very wierd dream and funny occurred during the HeatWave

has anyone dreamed of telling jehovah's witnesses off or lecture a group of them about the cult danger's and exposing the secrets which is kept hidden to them.
i thought it was really funny i dreamed of doing that, bit like what i did at my door to a jw.

Why are witnesses asking if householders know ASL?
by Chloe ini'm pretty sure this has been covered before, but i don't remember the explanation.
this weekend 2 very obviously jw ladies were in my neighborhood.
when they came to my door, the leader said they were with a "volunteer group" looking for those who knew asl or needed the service.. i asked what kind of volunteer group.

I got shunned at Wal-Mart

i just haven't gone for 3 years.. this woman (sister) works at my daughters school.

One thing that puzzled me
by Vincent inthis has puzzled me as reading about a critical ill father and blood transfusion refusal by a stupied wife that was a jw, when you become more serious in this cult it seems to play havoc on the emotions.
when i used to be a bible student.
i was giving off negative emotions (sadness, crying at certain things like seeing violence).

I had a Jehovah's Witness at my door this morning
by Vincent ini had a jehovah's witness knocking on my door on 31/05/08 it was very happy female, i could of have shouted at her but i was very close going that way as my legs were shaking a little bit like jelly as i was talking to the jehovah's witness finding polite way of shooing her away.
i have used the word cult to them but they denied it.
i said about emma gough but they said its because she wasn't looked after.
