got a copy and been reading it , the first chapter about how god doesn't like human suffering nor causes any of it seems like a fallacy to me .there are plenty of accounts where he personally killed allot of people , noahs ark , moses and pharoah ,it's pretty obvious that god likes to play god and the new testament says he will cause allot more suffering against his enemies .
anybody else with an opinion?
The book that would be more interesting to debate ,and for the public to read ,would be called"What does the Watchtower really teach?"

The problem is that years of going to meetings means that all you hear is "Blah blah and more f'ing blah" bacause if you had listened you would have run out screaming years ago.That's my excuse.
As Homer Simpson said to the padre in one episode "When you was up there going yadda yadda yadda I didn't listen!"
after years of that it's difficult to listen when a real teacher (as many on this board are) comes along,but keep up the good work,when our hearts are opened we find you!

when i was reading the post that was looking for the policy on higher education it suddenly occurred to me - .
most of us who were cos, elders, pioneers, or in an elders' family (hope that covers everyone who would be considered "privileged" and "truly spiritually-minded") were constantly reminded that we had to be shining examples for the rank and file.
we were reminded (and pressured) to conform - it was unthinkable to consider a 4-year college, unthinkable to even entertain talking to a disfellowshipped person (even if a family member), etc etc.. the rest of the rank and file only get these reminders at meetings if they are listening or in the literature if they are studying (not highlighting).
I think the majority of Dub's are not too clear on policy and teaching and don't seem to care,therefore they swallow the crap they hear at the K.Hall. Just this weekend I had a Bro. tell me they are NOT brainwashed and then he comes out with a load of W.T stuff,word for word.
This highlights the difficulty of getting through to loved ones still "in". they listen to propaganda instead of looking for themselves and thinking for themselves.

I am just "fading" at present but can only see myself drawing closer to Jesus and His Father by learning the truth from the scriptures with the aid of the Holy Spirit.How could you go back to following men and not Jesus?

yes, the fairly new bible teach book contains some info in the appendix, but do witnesses include that in the study?.
The "Bible Teach"- travesty-sorry book,presents the blood issue as "abstain from blood" only,without presenting the muddled Fractions policy. Just another example of dishonesty.
