there were increases in the previous years too.. this massive increase is no doubt attributeable to the 'new light' this year that the calling of the 'heavenly class' was not closed in 1935, as previously taught.
the new understanding this year is that the calling of the 'anointed' class is 'evidently' still open.
What would make it really difficult to keep the 144k literal would be if all of us who are faders or 'postates turn up at the Reject Jesus Party,and PARTAKE of the bread and wine.

I think in the past they always had what at least looked like wonderfull growth.Those days are gone,so even vaguely honest figures are dangerous.the R&F really do look for growth as proof of Divine approval.
I had a visit from my P.O (as was) 2 or three months back,his fleshly Bro. is a big cheese in Brooklyn,and during conversation he said to me "Even if next years figures are down,I will not lose faith" I think he had heard something and now they have to cover up the truth,mind you they are past masters at that!

hey lurkers those of you who used to use your own brain in the past do you ever miss thinking for yourself's on major situations rather than running to elders or scrambling to read wt articals.

there is this elder in our family he comes to drop off the magazines to my mom here at my house you would think as a holly elder he would not be rude by stopping and saying hello to my mom who is still an active jw, but he won't even set foot in the house becase as you can see i have a beard and don't go to meetings anymore i'm telling yeh now that is christian.. think of one major thing in you life that you can decide for youself that probley will get you into trouble if you decide for yourself, i can't.

he visited every house, or at least he preached to all of the people.
The old canard of using Acts 20v20 to justify the door to door waste of time has been demolished several times on JWD,suffice to say,just read the verse,Paul is talking about teaching them,the believers in their own homes.
He may have called on every house in Ephesus,personally I doubt it,but this verse does not say that,and even if he did it's no sanction for preaching that way today.

It was generally viewed by my Wife and I as a pain in the ass,another hurdle to get over. We never went out on field circus when he came in later years,but were back out next week when he'd gone and hardly anyone else was out,I suppose because Jehovah's eyes were now on the next Congo.
One comment I heard summed up the usual visit,an elder talking of two fellow Elders said "So-andSo is so far up the CO's arse he can see "J's" feet !"

wt november 1st has a two page article on how the early sahidic coptic version of the new testament translated god with an indefinite article in john 1:1 and argues this supports the new world translation's rendering "and the word was a god".
online witness apologists have been using this piece of evidence in support of the nwt for a few years now.
in particular solomon landers promoted the coptic version of john 1:1 in discussions with evangelicals and other who oppose witness theology.
These arguments by WT apologists about semantics serve only to obfuscate the issue,which I believe is their intention.
The Bible makes plain that Almighty God,The Son.and the Holy Spirit are ONE.
If you then go on to look at that without WT goggles on,you may draw close to God.
