Worshiping the cross

i know i don't and know my family don't.
so i decided to look into it to find out if what she is saying is true.

I reflect on what it means and it reminds me of what I was taught about God as a child.
That he loves everyone, and he died for all,
not just a few who proclaim loyalty to the WTBTS. -

Ran into the JW table at San Diego airport...
by Confession inyes, my ladyfriend and i were entering the san diego airport for our flight home to phoenix late yesterday afternoon, when i noticed a forty-ish man and woman sitting down behind a table loaded with wts publications.
i stopped to glance over them with joy.
i made familiar comments about some of the publications, noting the newer soft covers and trying to casually engage the pair in conversation.

"What a huge waste of time, energy and my 20's and 30's. I used to get up at 4:00am so I could meet my group at 5:30 -- 30 miles away."
Oh My God, 4 am for service !!! -

Here is one of the links attached to the top ten fugitive list, kind of makes me feel somewhat slimey reading it/

It would be great to tac up a poster in front of the table with a quote from the WT discussing the evils of higher education......
HA HA thats great !
I work at a college and I recently found out that the JW's have a table and just sit there.
Posting something about higher education,, man I just might try that, or leave copies of an article talking about the WT view of college
early in the morning before they arrive,,,
could someone suggest an article to use ?? -

Not really.
I was the definition of straight and righteous while a catholic as a youth.
When I started to associate with the JW's I learned how much fun I had been missing.
We would drink beer and whiskey heavily, smoke pot, date worldly girls, go to R rated movies (Saturday night fever was my 1st one)
sneak into a local disco, and generally act like normal kids of the "world."
Then the next day it would be go to the meeting, give a comment, go out in service, converse in an up building way with ones at the KH .
And guess what ?
The majority of kids I hung out with were the children of elders, and the PO !!!
In fact we had a secret code name for ourselves,,,, "The unholy JW's"
it always bothered me a little at that time that this group of people who considered themselves to be
Gods chosen people living for God in the last days were so morally corrupt on the inside. Yet at the meetings and in service they really
were able to fool people with their pretend action.
Thanks Randy and Kevin for your help, it took 30 years for me to realize what a fool I was. -

Christian Love in action
by lancelink inthis past weekend i was speaking to a friend who attends the hall that i once did in northern illinois.
we were catching up on the latest news regarding the mass disfellowshipping (53) of teenagers that happened in the area, and she shared .
they were talking about the dfing and he said that they needed to be cast out, it was akin to "scourging" and hopefully they would wake up and realize what they had done.

I forgot to mention that this happened in one circuit, not one hall.
And so far it sounds like pornia and drinking.
