Further Education - WTS ups the pressure
by dozy inthe wts are upping their opposition to further education.. at our recent co visit , much of a talk on youth concerned the evils of college & university education.. the meeting of the elders & ms included a similar but harder line section , stating that the appointed men should set an example.
the question was raised does an elder continue to qualify for his privilege if he , his wife , or his child goes to further education.
what attitude is he showing regarding the fds stated view on this matter?.

JUST SOMETHING I would like to know
by journey-on in1) how many of the gb's (and other higher-ups in the org) children, grandchildren, great-children went to college, which universities they attended, and what were their majors and other studies?.
2) how many of the gbs and/or their children and grandchildren (some are old enough to have grown grandchildren, i'm sure) are major stockholders or serve.
on the board of directors for corporations that have some association with the jws.. 3) how many of the gbs and/or members of their families own companies that service the needs of the watchtower society?.

Yes - I know a lot of them study legal, so they can take down "apostate sites" on charges of copyright infrigement and kill their members by refusing them medical treatment.

Using the phone to listen to meetings

my friend is and gave me a phone number to call and she said i could listen in on the meeting to hear what she hears.
she specifically said they won't ask for my name or phone number or record my information from the call.

I know that there was a scandal around this in my previous congregation. There were a few infirm people who usually called in, and the sound system for some reason only had a limited number of hook-ups. Now some of these infirm people had special connections to the elders, so when a "normal" person called in they were told "sorry, there are no more hook ups available". However, this was happening even when all of the hookups were empty! Brother Soundboard wanted to make sure that his buddy-bud had all the hookups he needed when he called in.
At the time, I was disgusted. In hindsight, it's probably a good thing that those people didn't receive their dose of poison that day.

I completely agree with everything there, especially with that about communist dictatorships REPLACING religion rather than ABOLISHING it. They wanted to become god; to become the sole focal point of worship and obedience.
