In the 2008 Annual Meeting, anointed ones were told to siddown, shaddap and stop thinking they were allowed to have any say in organizational matters. (literally! it was extremely direct) Lately there has been a general trend to downplay the role of the anointed. I believe they are embarrassed by these inexplicable numbers so their solution is to make it seem unappealing to be anointed, therefore fewer people will "profess" as Farkel put it, and the numbers will fix themselves.

by Honesty intoday, i am 55 years old and all of the'anointed' jw's are at least 50 years old and there are over 9,000 of them.. .
between the 1959 and the 1960 memorial, 600 'anointed' jw's went to heaven and into the presence of god:.
1959 memorial partakers world-wide 14,511. .

Is it the JW's or the God of the bible you no longer believe?
by reniaa ini have a question for the ex-jw's on this forum after months of reading the forum..... many say how good it is to be free of the oppressiveness of the jw's that they can now enjoy the freedom to... have sex, celebrate christmas, gamble, embrace politics etc.
there are still biblical scriptures and principles in place that if you still followed the bible would mean you avoid these things and yet these are now embraced as one of the perks of no longer being a jw so in my confusion i ask.... if these are what you want, isn't it more correct to say you no longer follow the bible as apposed to just the jw's?.

Jgnat..There are more Scriptures in the Bible that use the word "Glory" in reference to Jesus?!..Don`t tell Reniaa!!..She doesn`t like that word!!..And..Don`t give her any Music with the name Jesus in it..That will set her off too!............You have to be careful around Reniaa..She dosen`t like whats written in the Bible or music with Jesus in it!!.....It interferes with her Beliefs as a Christian!!..

by Samuel Thorsen ini did not, but i did fs when i had seriuos doubts and i thougt some householders had pretty good arguments some times, but i could not admit it of course.. and i did fs for a long time after i realized the magazines was very very poor.
i still remember my very last hour from door to door.
geee that was torture, i hatet myself and hoped no one was at home.. do you remember your last fs hour?

A hippy from the 60's that I met in the door to door service for the JW's straightened me out. He
was living in the 90's and had a decent job, but his attitude was still the same. He said something
like this:
"Do you think that Jehovah created people just to bow down to him? Is his ego that big?
Didn't Jesus demonstrate that people are to have enjoyment of life? Is He so cruel that He
will really destroy everyone who doesn't sell WT literature? That's not the message of the Bible."He sounds like a pretty decent guy. I'd like to smoke a bowl with him.
